Following potential 2013 draftees

tbh, I don't think Schröder will be BPA in case Giannis is still there. Having seen only Giannis "highlight" clips and reviews on him, there is good chance I err on that one, but I think his ceiling is higher than Schröder, who I can assess pretty good imo, having seen one of his top3 individual performances live last season, a lot of other games and his team's video recaps, where you also can get an impression how he works when someone else is making a play. I estimate that Giannis if he utilizes his full potential will be worth his weight in gold playing on allstar level one day.

i dont have anything bad to say about the jazz taking giannis at 21

i think tony mitchell might be better though, im not sure, it depends what your looking for, i think tony mitchell can guard bigger 3's who can shoot like durant and harrison barnes

If Schroeder's BPA at #14, you take him, plain and simple.

- Bucks situation, Jennings likely gone, Ellis just opted out.
- Boston - they've got Bradley & if they're retooling, they can parlay Rondo for lots of young assets (ala Jazz & Dwill), so if Schroeder can fill in, why not?
I think there are at least 35 players better then Schroeder.
Schroder i have graded way into the top 10... so yeah im not complaining if we take him 14... but i wonder what would happen if we passed

especially if Shabazz Muhammad drops and we take schroder over him, ill turn the tv off
Why stop their. Why not turn off your jazzfanz account as well.
if we sign al to a favorable contract we can play tons of youth next year and package him with something into the 2014 draft

You truly are the village idiot!

Give Giannis 4 years and he can guard players like Durant too(As good as you can guard them anways). But I think the Jazz are still short a franchise player and there's likely none available in this draft. So who cares if 18yr old Giannis, who's btw a month younger than Julius Randle, makes the Jazz tank squad look even worse. The Jazz need that goto-guy anyways. And there's going to be plenty of them next year.
And I think Giannis is gone by 16 worst case, unless the Celtics have some secret three way trade in the making that suddenly turns them into contenders again.

im still waiting on the draft! if the Magic land Len @2 and Archie Goodwin or Peyton Siva@51
or if the Kings do something crazy like take Schroder@8 and Reggie Bullock@36
or if the Pelicans land Len or Noel somehow

Minnesota taking Shabazz@9, Tony Mitchell@26, Archie Goodwin@52 and Ryan Kelly@59 would be a reaaaaally killer draft in my book, and the wolves would be problems...

Al will be worth very very little if trying to use him in a deal for 2014 draft picks. Not even worth resigning him for that

your telling me we cant take a 1 year expiring, disgruntled vet contract(Kris Humphries) and a pick for al, Injuries happen al could save a few playoff teams if an Injury occurs

the nets have shown their cards on how they value draft picks, its plausible

do you think giannis will be a shawn marion type of 3 or a tweener, or do you think he grows to 7' and can play C?

I do not think he can play anything aside SF until he gains weight/strength. And even then I haven't really seen him play with the back to the basket, neither do I like his threepoint shot too much at this point to imagine him beating opponents with his versatility. But I do like his handle, quickness, instincts a lot. His defensive potential is scary and the damage he can inflict in transition with his long steps I see him consistently go to the charity stripe. Really hard to find a good comparison, but I don't think today's Shawn Marion would really fit, even though I didn't watch too much of Shawn Marion before he got old and changed his game.
I can imagine Giannis averaging 5+ assists/game and 6+ foulshots.

Hayward to DET for #9 #37, 2015 1st

#9 Burke
#14Schroder
#21Giannis
#37Jaiteh
#46Southerland

this also frees up space next summer, i know you guys dont want to hear that

Edit: pretty sure burks starts somewhere if it played out like this

Burke/Schroder/Tinsley/Burks
Burks/Foye/Schroder/Burke
Southerland/Marvin/Giannis
Favors/Kanter/Giannis/Southerland
Al/Kanter/Jaiteh

Jaiteh withdrew.

Ennis is my pick at 46 if he is still on the board. I hope Dennis falls to 21, I would rather get him at 21 than 14. I would either like a 3rd big or the Greek kid.

have we soured on the best sniper in the class

Tony Snell ?

too skinny, too old?

Ennis is a good choice at 46, great value

how do you guys compare **** stain shane to Ish Smith

really wouldent be suprised to see larkin be the pick at 14

Joe Kotoch @Probballdraft Dallas pick is available and Cavs appear to have parameters of a deal in place to move up from 19 for it. Target is Sergey Karasev.

Joe Kotoch @Probballdraft Sources close to Detroit say Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a legit choice there for Joe Dumars. Currently projected 12 to OKC.

Pope was supposed to be high on Minny's list too.

I would be thrilled to see Karasev go ahead of us at 14. Not that he won't be good, just that I don't know that he's a fit for what we're looking for.
