It's not irrational. It was earned, through repeatedly making stupid mistakes, mismanaging minutes and terrible rotational decision. I don't think you're using the word irrational correctly. Maybe you meant "unfair"?
This is correct. I understand that Corbin is a young coach. Happy to give him time. But when he never corrected his mistakes through his 2 1/2 years of coaching......... That is why we were all so upset. Its not irrational to be upset with a coach who.........
Lets Mo Williams run the offense.
Has Burks sitting on the bench the first few months and not developing
Doesn't ever come up with an offense just throws it into Al-Suck
Never runs the pick and roll for Favors where he excels.
Never really ran plays for Millsap only Jefferson
BARELY let Hayward run the offense even though he excels as a distributor
NEVER played match ups. He just stuck to his rotation
Had Foye guard Elite players MULTIPLE times at the end of games instead of Hayward, Marvin or Carroll.
I have never seen a coach continue the same crap and not correct himself.
Its so rare to not see a coach see how there is mismatches on the court and not make a substitution. I would forgive him if it happened just a few times and learned later. BUT HE NEVER LEARNED. He was horrible at this.
His decision making was always too late to make a difference to actually make a comeback.
Kanter has 2 amazing games in a row(one game was a 20 20). Next month his minutes actually went down after that. He had 2 games the following month where he played 7 minutes one game and 6 another. While Jefferson and Millsap both played over 35 minutes a game. I wasn't expecting Kanters minutes to go up to 30 or anything like that. But to drop his minutes after that. At least give him MORE! Its a joke.
Raja Bell who never butted heads with previous coaches gets in a fight with Corbin. Now rumors of Millsap and Watson. Another 2 players who haven't had any fights with their previous coaches.
This list goes on and on and on!!!!!! If you think its unfair I can see that a little because he is new. But Sneakers was right. The key word he used was "repeatedly" making stupid mistakes. That is the difference. He hasn't shown he is improving.
Its not irrational at all. Well deserved criticism. But he is our coach and he has next year to try again to improve. If he improves I will be very happy. But he hasn't shown to so far. The only thing I did liked better about Corbin vs Sloan was the defensive rotations. I though his defensive scheme was a little better personally. Obviously Jefferson made things worse. But I thought Corbin's defense when Jefferson was not playing was actually pretty good. I thought Sloans left too many 3's open. Sloan's offense guarded the mid range more. Corbin's protects the 3 more which is needed in the game today.
