The Charlotte Bobcats have reached out to representatives for Utah Jazz center Al Jefferson to gauge his interest in signing here, an NBA source confirmed to the Observer. Charlotte Observer

Bill Oram: The Jazz were no doubt busy last night, but they did reach out to PG Jamaal Tinsley, a source said
 
I'm a little dismayed that another team might want Tinsley. Paying and playing him squat because he was on the brink (and he knows it) was an important factor.

Fortunately, we could actually slightly overpay him and NY has no cap space. I would not mind giving him a slightly bigger piece of the pie for the next year or two. He's been a good guy for us, and we don't need the money (yet). Perfect third string pg.

Exactly and he almost guarantees that we do not go after Mo or another starting PG.

Thanks for the neg rep, Stickler. Excuse me for wanting ONE serious thread on a board named JAZZFANZ where we ONLY talk about JAZZ-related rumors. I could care less what the Bobcats, Pelicans or Wizards do, unless it perhaps involves a guy like Jefferson or Mo signing with them. In that case it IS related to the Jazz since many of us fear those guys may re-sign with Utah. What I do want to know is who Lindsey and KOC are calling to fill out the roster.
