What about Kanter under Malone?

If I am Corbin, Goubert gets more than 10 minutes a game. The guy has athleticism and skills for a big man. We shall see in the pre-season!!
Depends on how much progress Gobert makes and if Enes continues to party and chase skirts. I think there was a reason his name got "leaked" as being on the trading block. It was a trial balloon. Jazz wanted to gauge his interest level around the league. If the Jazz could absorb some salary and come up with another late lottery pick (and land in the 6th-8th range with their own), that just might be enough to trade up to #2 for Jabari. A rebuilding team would have an awfully hard time turning down Kanter (a former #3 pick), the #7 and the #14.I have a feeling that Jazz drafted Gobert so that next year they can trade either Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter next year to move up in the draft to draft Jabari Parker. Jabari Parker just makes so much sense for the jazz in terms not only as a player but in a marketing standpoint. This is of course if they see potential in Gobert that he can be a starting caliber center in the future.

Wow some of you guys have great imaginations. One picture of Kanter with some girls and he is a party animal. The kid worked his butt off and came into camp in great shape. The "leak" was just an internet rumor and had no legs. How is Kanter going to help us get a #2 when he is "known" for being a partier and hasn't proven much due to limited minutes. Kanter has to have a huge season for him to help us get the number 2 pick.
By itself, the "leak" would be insignificant. But it was reported, by reputable sources, that there is division within the Jazz organization on whether or not Kanter and Favors can play together efffectively. I'm a fan of both. I like Kanter. But both he and Favors have inside games. Kanter is much like Jefferson. Right now his "go-to" move is the up and under he learned from Big Al. Mentioning the "picture" is kind of a joke, although it's not just one picture. Remember this tweet: "Pimp Daddy wants to say Happy Valentine’s day to all my sweeties. I just LOVE you all?" He's had numerous pics posing with scantily clad women. I think it was ilyasova? who noted Enes deletes all mention of porn stars before he returns to Turkey for visits. His lifestyle is his own business. I'm not even saying it's right or wrong. What I AM saying is that the Jazz are owned by a very conservative family who believe they have a very conservative, family-oriented fan base. Do you think having a player who calls himself "Pimp Daddy" sits well with them?Wow some of you guys have great imaginations. One picture of Kanter with some girls and he is a party animal. I guess this season will tell. I view the talent as Wiggins and Jabari in their own tier and then 5-6 others a level down. But that's good. It means we don;t necessarily have to jump into the top-5 to get a great player. We can land a pretty good one a little further down. And unless Utah signs a notable FA, I see them finishing in that 6-8 range, or worst case, perhaps being able to buy a late lottery pick by taking on a salary dump at the deadline. Then they might be able to combine two lottery picks to jump up into that range. The separation between the Number 2 and Number 6 pick is very minimal. Many mocks have Jabari Parker in the 5th pick range. It is Wiggins then everyone else. Not Wiggins and Jabari then everyone else. Randle, Aaron Gordon, Marcus Smart, Harrison, and Robinson are also really great players.
Favors has no inside game to speak of. Hell, he has no reliable offense at all apart from pick and roll which we are yet to see. And for bold part alone you better log out and ask admin to delete your JF account. The blue part is just plain ********. I am suggesting you to check out Kanter's performance at Nike Hoops Summit. I watched the summer league last season. I watched the games this year. I don't give a damn about the Nike Hoops Summit THREE years ago. It wasn't an NBA game. He hasn't shown those skills since, at least not consistently. Kanter's best offensive move IS the up-and-under with a couple of head fakes. It's very Al-esque and Kanter admitted he was learning from Al. Enes can score on putbacks and has SOME outside game. But it is NOT consistent. He wasn't even dominant in summer league last year. His game is EXTREMELY raw still. I do agree re: Favors. He has a nascent offensive game. And this is PRECISELY the concern I mentioned. Kanter and Enes have to be around the basket right now, with a nod to Enes on taking it out to 10 ft or so. And a nod to Favors on defense. Starting both of them compromises the offense quite a bit.Favors has no inside game to speak of. Hell, he has no reliable offense at all apart from pick and roll which we are yet to see. How you managed to put so much crappy falsehood in few sentences is beyond me.
Kanter is much like Jefferson. Right now his "go-to" move is the up and under he learned from Big Al.
Yes it is old. Maybe "perfected" is a better term. And are you kidding me? Al used or tried to use it all the time. Maybe not with the extra dribble at the end, but the principle was the same. Get the ball on the low block, ball fake left, give a couple of head and body fakes, turn back right, fake the shot and then go underneath his man. He used it so much teams would bait him into it and then send a help defender late and Al would turn right into the double team. Look at Kanter's progress from the summer league, when his inside game was very pedestrian and no one was biting on his moves, to what he later developed this past season. AL's influence was very evident. Kanter was more effective (and against NBA-level competition), but there were times I remember screaming for Enes to get rid of the ball. When is this hogwash going to die? The up-and-under is one of the oldest and least complicated moves you can learn and is something that has been in Kanter's repertoire before Kanter ever even met Jefferson. And Jefferson doesn't use that move much anyway.
That too, but I also remember him turning back right many times because I could shout out at least 2 seconds in advance that the double team was coming.Al posts up left block and spins middle for the weezy or holds the ball at the high post for 6 seconds then throws up a shot on 70% of his possessions. This is completely unscientific. Al does have an up-and-under, but I've really not seen him use it as primary move. Probably because that would require him to bend his waist which he hardly does.

You have mastery grammar skill, man, but saying Enes Kanter is an Al Jefferson prototype is absolute ********.
I do feel Favors n Gobert could possibly be our future frontline, because I'm convinced Malone can teach height.
I agree on the no offensive skills part. But Larry SAnders does not have a 9'7" reach. Gobert can be an elite defender...if he can add some weight.Gobert can only dunk no other offensive game and he is 21 like Enes Kanter. Gobert will be an energy guy off the bench like chris andersen in his prime which is good 20 minutes 7 points 7 rebounds and good not great rim protection. His ceiling is same as Larry Sanders'.
