you're*
I haven't followed this thread at all. Reps for someone willing to summarize what this board deems his strengths and weaknesses.. floor and ceiling.
Boom or bust guy.
He should be able to contribute on defense right away (blocking shots, P/R defense), but he'll give up low post position to other centers. If he adds low post strength over the next few years, he could be really great on the defensive end.
Offensively, I'm not sure what his potential is. He seems to lack even a simple jump hook right now, but he can obviously finish very well on put backs, lobs, and in the P/R. Again, if he adds lower body strength that will allow him to establish low post position, then he might be able to score with ease even if he doesn't have a super polished game.
Potential is maybe along the lines of Hibbert? Floor is a 4th big you give 10-15 minutes for defensive purposes.
Damn I'm jealous. PKM doesn't even need to read anything anymore. All you have to say is sumerize what's been said for rep, and presto there it is.
Just go to pkms profile, check his posts, if he asks for a summary go to that thread and you don't have to read any more too. Haha

Smart froggy. You got my reasoning behind the post. And earned rep for it!Yore

Is repute French for thirteen? If so, I'm happy I could bump you up to quatorze.!!!My reputation is finally beyond repute!!!
If I am Corbin, Goubert gets more than 10 minutes a game. The guy has athleticism and skills for a big man. We shall see in the pre-season!!
And by the way we need to go out and get us a really good 3 point specialist!! I for one would bring back Korver.
I'm glad Gobert is known as a hard worker. I'm still butt hurt about Fesenko's wasted talent.

Fes had the build and the athleticism to become a top center in the league. But yeah, he wasted it jackpotting around. I'm more excited about the bigs working on basketball skills with Malone than I am about them spending time at P3. IMO, P3 is overrated. There are few things at P3 they couldn't get on their own working out at the Jazz facility. But it does FORCE those players to work out instead of playng video games by day and chasing skirt at night, so I guess in that respect yes, better to have them at P3.I do not remember ever seeing the reports on Fes that I see on Kanter, Favors, Burks, Hayward...at P3, workign out, developing new parts of their game.
Perhaps the blame for Fes lies on Fes.

Understood. And I agree it shows dedication. I know when we say a player "works hard," it's sometimes a jab that they aren't as talented as others. In this case, hopefully we have players who have potential AND work hard. I remember telling my Laker friends the Jazz got the steal of the draft when they took Fesenko. I was wrong back then. But I feel the same about Gobert. Hope I turn out right this time.I only used P3 because it shows that they are working hard. Not that P3 is some miracle worker. In my statement P3 could be switched with any gym across america.
