What's new

Oui Oui Gobert!

Listening to Locke's webcast thing and he says Olynyk hit 63/100 3 pointers for the Jazz during his workout. Slightly disappointed we didn't get him as new Okur, but Gobert should be cool too.

I have to wonder what Kanter could do with some consistent reps.

Thing about Kanter though is that he is such a beast down low so they are probably hesitant in letting him shoot the 3. He could start settling for bad jumpers instead of shots around the rim.

The main way you would describe Mcgee is freak athlete. Gobert is someone that moves decent for a guy his size. HUGE difference.
Stupid that I just had to type that out^

Pretty sure foj made it a point to acknowledge the difference in athletic ability. But it's cute that despite the fact that you were wrong about the similarities between the two players and you know it, you still won't to admit it.

Who is foj?

I can think of few comps for Gobert that are worse than Mcgee. Im baffled.

Trading for Rudy Gobert is definitely a big balls, homerun move on the part of Lindsey, but I think Erick Green could be Gilbert Arenas minus the guns. Green is the second round steal of the draft and Utah had him. He ceiling is a healthy, all-star Arenas and his floor is Bobby Jackson. Either way he is a 10-year, 10+ point bench guy. If Utah could have figured out how to get Gobert and keep Green, this would have been an A++++++ draft for the Jazz. Would a 2014 second rounder and cash have done it for Denver?

Gobert>Green Gobert at 27 was a steal, imo.

LOL at the kid in the #15 jersey with her arms outstretched. Yes, little girl, his arms ARE freakishly long!
How fantastic is it that both Burke AND Gobert are working with the Jr. Jazz kids instead of back home celebrating after the draft? What tremendous character it shows for both guys to stay an extra day or two after the press conference. In the words of that illustrious poet, Rodney Clark Hundley, "You Gotta Love It, Baby!"

Well technically the Jazz never had him. Denver told them to draft him for them. If we had had that 2nd rounder we could have drafted somebody else.
