Im all for playing the youth, and the "professional tanking" but something tells me it won't be as easy to think like that when we are getting stomped, and losing 8 out of 10 games all year. It won't be easy to actually root for your team to lose, or even to not be disappointed if we lose a double OT game for example. I'm sure at the end of all the games we'll all be talking about what we could have done differently to avoid the loss. Forgetting that we all wanted that to begin with.
Again, not saying I want to sign a bunch of veterans and try and make the playoffs. Just saying get ready for a rough year.
Well us old Jazz fans can take it. The Jazz sucked when they first came to SLC and I was just happy the state had a pro team. Besides, the team will play hard and win some games, so it won't be as bad as you think. Most fans want to see the young guys play and know that a real rebuild must take place in order for the Jazz to have any chance at contending down the line. Only the casual fan will be upset if the Jazz get mauled here and there. I also think you forgot the month of Feb. where the vet team was getting hammered. I would only start worrying if after three years the young guys are still getting hammered.
