Wake up this morning and find out that we took advantage of the Warriors so that they could land.......Iggy? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

In the post game interviews its going to be really hard to tell which Jefferson they are talking to. A lot of people are going think think Big Al is still on the team since him and Richard Jeffersons voices are so similar.

What makes you think they are even going to talk to Richard Jefferson? Don't they normally talk to the players who play? :)

Jefferson and Andris were two of my favorite none jazz players at one point. I loved Andris back when Don gave him a chance to play. I wonder if he's just lazy now or he is just in an awful situation. Its obvious is confidence is gone since he can't hit a FT. I feel bad for Andris and Rudy, they are going to get pretty bruised up having to guard kanter and favors in practice. Hell, Karl will probably rough em up his fair share too.

Even just 3 years ago Jefferson was a nice player. What the hell happened? I know its not unheard of my any means for a player to go from good to awful in just a few years but I just don't get how its possible. He was just such a fun player to watch back in the 2000s. I'm sure we will get little to nothing out of Jefferson and Andris but who knows maybe we will, the talents in there.

He was a player who relied a lot on athleticism. He has all but lost that. When that is your game you tend to fall fast when it starts to go.

Like it or not Jefferson is going to play in plenty of games this year.
I know. I was just trying to be funny. I still don't think he'll play enough to be a constant interview. They usually go for the guys that had an impact on the game or are the face of the franchise.

As was I.... Have you heard Richards voice?

He got old.

I don't know if it was pointed out before that this trade couldn't have taken place if GS Wurrios had not bought into the 26th pick then traded it a few times to end up with the 30th pick in teh first round. It didn't matter that it wasn't theirs, they got a pick in the first round which made it possible for them to trade next years 1st round pick. Remember the NBA rules won't allow a team to go two consecutive years without a pick, and if you didn't pick last year, a team can't trade its pick for the coming year.

On another note, if the Jazz had bought out Rodger Baal then the amount of money they used to buy him out could not have been used by the Jazz to buy into the draft to get Gobert. I had never heard of this NBA rule until this week, and I'm still looking for more details. But the basic thought is the NBA rules only allow a team to spend a limited amount each season on buying out contracts or buying assets (ie draft picks) or for 'cash considerations' in trades. I don't know how much the limit is, but GS may have used up all their allowed buying last season buying into the first round. But they can send cash back to the Jazz once the new fiscal season starts on July 10 and that is when the trade will be official.

Awkward for Kevin Murphy, waiting in Orlando for 5 days wondering what his future holds.

This isn't quite correct. The rule only applies to future 1st round picks. That is, after the 2013 draft is over, you can trade your 2014 1st round pick even if you didn't have a 2013 1st round pick.

Biedrins is lazy and it's well known that he enjoys the nightlife quite a bit. SLC should be a great fit.

So the competition with Biedrins and Enes won't just be about playing time.

You're a wise man. :) It appears that way. Does Enes drink? Biedrins does. I've personally seen Biedrins in bars in SF. Saw him once sitting outside a hotel/bar in a limo, on a game night, around midnight (so you figure he had to shower and drive from Oakland to SF, which would have taken at least an hour) and somehow manage to get enough of something in his 7 foot frame in a short time to be completely smashed. He was nice though, I'll give him that. Someone said hi to him and he managed to muster a "what's up fellas?"
