Following potential 2014 draftees

I dunno.. I have a good feeling about Aaron Harrison.. he has DWade/Eric Gordon type potential... if we can get him with our GSW pick that would be a home run.

After watching 2 min of footage I feel 100% confident in saying that we need to darft Exum.

Where is he gonna play this year?

This post brought to you by UGLI baby
He COULD join a college team mid-season this year.
His dad went to UNC but the rumor is Dante likes Indiana.

Dante has said he doesn't want to join a team mid-season.
Dante has said he DOES want to spend a year playing college bb.
Most people I've spoken to feel he's going to stay put through next year and enter the draft as he's projected top 7 as it is.

Maybe Mitch McGary, Isaiah Austin, Willie Cauley-Stein, Alex Poythress--although they could go in the teens. I think the Warriors pick should be in the late teens this year, actually.

Dont forget about Saric, but I think there is a good chance he will end up in the lottery. Played very well in the U19 tournament.

Why half way through the season? Because thats when Aussie HS finishes?

Apparently UNC not recruiting him. He must suck then. ;)

Some of you draft experts. I know you hate them, but give us some comps.
Wiggins: I've heard McGrady, and I've heard Jordan. Kind of a huge difference there....
Parker: more athletic Paul Pierce is thrown around a lot. Are we saying he will be a better version of a sure fire HoFer?
Harrison/pg: can't really think if someone like him in size, Magic? Highly doubt that. Any one have a good comp?
Randle: I have no idea for this guy, does he compare to anyone?
Gordon: Blake. Accurate?

Give me anymore you feel like. And I'm not saying the above are true. That is just what I hear a lot and wonder how accurate it is. Thanks guys. :) (if someone wants to tell me about that 'rep' **** everyone loves, I'll be happy to give some to whoever responds.)

The difference between someone like Jordan and someone like T-Mac is the intangibles (leadership; killer instinct; cut-throat desire to be the best; work ethic). Wiggins has those things.

Comparing Wiggins to Tmac is a joke. Wiggins is on his own level in terms of strength, feel and explosion. He shows potential to do things that literally no one has done before. He could be the Dr. J of our time, maybe better.

Parker is also better than Paul Pierce. I'm not sure who to compare him to yet, but he's so well rounded that he could be like a more up-to-date version of Alex English.

I think Randle is like Chris Webber with some modern enhancements--an athlete who can do things that PFs normally can't do out on the floor. Webber was a break-through for the PF position at his time. Mentally, Webber just wasn't tough enough though.

Interesting comparison.

It is weird that Roy isn't reaching out to him.. has a number of people scratching their heads.
Most assume Roy feels he'll just never suit up for a college team (as do I)... but when the kid is saying he IS going to and his dad went to, and loves, UNC.. one would think Roy would be making the effort. Kinda weird.

Damn Exum looks crazy good. This draft class.... I'm thinking depending on our draft positions next year we are gonna have to be moving some of the core 5 to the bench. I always thought Burks would thrive getting 20-25 minutes off the bench. What if we could draft Andrew Harrison next year? What would you do with Burke? Would you just trade Harrison? Just a couple random thoughts.

2016 championship roster: (btw, we get a top 5 pick the next year thanks to Golden State)
PG: Burke, Vet, Burks
SG: Hayward, Burks, 2015 draft pick
SF: Parker, Hayward
PF: Kanter, Gobert, (GS pick in 2013)
C: Favors, (GS pick in 2013)

Yep he says that in a DX interview. Head over to their page and listen to it. Mid december they were talking about if I remember correctly. When asked what his plans after that are concerning joining a college team immediately or waiting till the draft or playing college in 14/15 he said: I don't know, I want to finish school first.

Roy's half senile. He probably just forgot, dadgumit.

Springtime in Australia is November/December. It's all screwed up there. Plus they have koala bears that like to eat eucalyptus leaves. They also have those large pouchy desert rats that like to bounce.

If the Jazz got Andrew Harrison, they might try to trade Burke (or he might ask to be traded). They could also get Aaron Harrison or Dante Exum and start those guys at the SG. If they get Jabari Parker, he'd obviously start at the SG. Another wild card here is Aaron Gordon, but I'm not as high on him, as I am the other wings.

*Also, Gobert isn't a PF.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Jazz tried to trade one of the existing 5 young guys plus picks to move up even a few spots in this draft. This really is our chance to acquire a franchise, first-option player.
