What's new

How long are you going to tollerate losing?

Mr never give in, never conceed anything, never see the other side/anyone elses opinion, stick to his guns, stubborn guy

To sit there and say I say something I didn't say is funny . As for ever concede and never give in...you just don't pay close enough attention then.

Did I say that you said something that you didn't say?
I don't think I did, but I am wrong a lot of the time so maybe you can tell me what I said you said and incorrectly quoted you on.
Also notice in post 168 how I acknowledged your side of the discussion.
Try it sometime, its not so bad :-)

I said the jazz #1 priority is to develop the youth and see what they have in the core 4.
But to think that getting a better pick in 14, which just happens to be one of teh best darfts eva, isn't ONE OF thier priorities is nieve. (I don't know how to spell that word)
The jazz have been planning to be bad in 14 for a while now imo.
I guess yur rite,

I guess yur rite,

I think I havnt known what the arguement is this whole time.
I guess the arguement originally was "are the jazz doing the same thing as golden state?"
To that question I say no.

I was kinda manipulating the arguement to more of a "are the jazz semi tanking, by not fielding the most competetive team they possibly can, and wanting as good a draft pick in 14 as possible?"

To that question I say yes.

So I kinda screwed up the whole discussion..... my bad

Sorry for being a dick to stoked.

As for the original question by the op

I will tolerate the **** out of losing if it means I get to see lots o core 4.5

I will fine with a 10 win season even (bring on wiggins) though I think we will win over 30

Fish you and I are good. We can disagree and still be friends.

By the way I don't think whatthe jazz are doing is the same as gs. GS had to lose a certain number of games to keep thier pick and they sat thier better players for worse one in order to make that happen.

The jazz on the other hand want a good pick in the 14 draft so they chose not to sign players that could help them win and instead are going with a not as good as they could have roster.

Both teams try for good picks just in different ways

I would even have a problem with that if the Jazz just had a bunch of scrubs and d-leaguers on the team. But the Jazz are going to start their lineup in 4 spots at least with two #3 picks and two #9 picks, and could even start a #12 pick in that lineup if they wanted to. Why get good FAs to fill the bench or send the young lottery guys to the bench when there are lottery picks to put out on the floor.

Great point fo sho.
We do have lots of talent.... now if we end up playing jefferson and biedrins big minutes then I will very confused on our professional tank style strategy all over again.
Don't let me down ty corbin you son of a bitch

Jefferson and Biedrins will not start.
But they should get some minutes.
Especially Biedrins. Jazz don't have any other big men except Gobert who will get limited minutes to start out.
Will Jazz sign one more big man before the season?

This is my take also - to think that Lindsey never mentioned that doing all this will also fetch us a pretty decent pick in '14 when he's pitching this idea to the Millers is absurd.

It must at least be ONE of their priorities/possible scenario/possible outcome.

Giving young guys experience is well and good - but the fact that Lindsey went out and got us, what, Biedrins, Jefferson and Rush is a tell tell sign that we wanna BAD, REAL BAD, Michael Jackson, this year.

Don't forget Jeremy and Marvin. Sure, they are on the small side, but both can not only play the four but have logged a good potion of their careers at the 4. Our bigs are really set, in fact I would say the whole team is set assuming that Biendrins and Jefferson get any time at all.

Edit: if you are talking about only centers, nothing changes because Favors and Kanter can both play center.

Good god that's my worst nightmare....well Jazz related nightmare.

24 and not one more. How long will I tolerate it?

I tolerated 7 years of AK never gaining a pound or a jumper, 5 years of Boozer being hurt or wanting a trade, 6.5 years of Torey Ellis trying to destroy the team I loved. I tolerated Alfense, Chucker Miles, Roger Baal (twice) I watched Arroyo try to loosen the nails in the floor by pounding the ball for 23 seconds of each possession, I tolerated years of watching my heroes growing older and slower and battled with myself over whether I wanted to see them hang it up or not.

I tolerated Ostertag, an All-star power forward who talked about himself in third person, 21 years of playoff disappointment, Stockton never shooting it enough, multiple jazz teams with no bench, the Eaton illegal defense era of offense, 25 years of Sloan style foul for defense and use up 22 seconds of the shot clock before taking a long jumper.

I tolerated an owner who threatened his coach, his players and a few Denver fans, but cried on the radio when talking about the team and the fans.

I tolerated 20 something busted draft picks, players who didn't want to come, players who couldn't wait to leave, and players that we couldn't get rid of.

I have tolerated 3 uniform changes, KJzz disappearing, 4 radio station changes, Hot Rod mumbling, Locke's voice breaking, Ron Boone trying to get a word in and 5,000 references to Matt Harpring playing football, and more Les Olsen Company Commercials than the FDA will allow.

And I have loved it. All of it. And I will watch this season for all 24 wins and each of the 58 losses.

Go Jazz.

I would sig this if possible. Srsly.

I did an association on 2k13 with the Jazz with their current roster and we ended up 33-49 and ended up with the #5 and #21 picks in the draft.

Holy hell done! Like right now, please Dear Lord make it so.

You don't see the difference???????????????????????

green has put us in the category of the slobbering-patrick-lose-with-with-no-plan ....category.

C'MON FISH.... snap out of it !!!!!!!!!! Ur better than this .... WAKE the **** up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never said this. Never once. Never have I insinuated this. If you think the Jazz don't have a plan, your an idiot.

The Jazz have a plan. It is to develop young players. If they lose, they are ok with it. If they weren't ok with losing, they would have brought Millsap back and brought in a Calderon or someone similar. Not traded for Biedrens and Jefferson.

Jody Genessy: Lindsey on patience of Hayward, Favors, Kanter and Burks: "They're ambitious and competitive. They wanted more opportunity, and here it is.

Boom! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!
