Following potential 2014 draftees

Who is everyone hoping for with the GS pick? Unless they have serious injuries, I expect the pick to be in the same range as it was this year. Right now I think Poythress, Aaron Harrison, or James Young could be available and would be excited about any of them.

The idea of talents like Selden and Poythress could be available in the mid-20s makes me think we took GS to school on that cap trade.

I think hoping for #4 and #16 is a very very realistic expectation.

If that's the case, you've definitely got to consider the possibility of grabbing Andrew Harrison at #4 and grabbing Aaron Harrison at #16. To me they are BPA at those spots and we'll be set at the PG and SG spots for the next 7 years.

Andrew Harrison/Burke
Aaron Harrison/Burks
Hayward
Favors
Kanter/Gobert

======================================

Andrew & Aaron Harrison are Westbrook/Harden 2.0 waiting to happen. Add to that a glue guy in Hayward. And potential 2-way studs in Kanter and Favors, I think we'll be pretty much unstoppable, with about 2-3 years window for an NBA Championship.

If there's a wing player that plays fantastic defense and crashes the boards, I might go that direction with the GS pick. The Jazz will have more than enough players who can score the ball. We'll need another tough guy.

Landing both Harrison twins would be pretty cool.

I'm falling more and more in love with the idea of adding Gordon to the team.

Burke - Hayward - Gordon - Favors - Kanter is BEASTLY.
That's a tough, beefy, defensive, athletic team.

We'd have to hope for two things for that team to blow up. Improved shooting from Hayward and Kanter specifically.
We'd need to add a Reggie Bullock type shooter to come off the bench.

I'm going to be man crushing a lot during this process. I'm going put every single top 20 player from 2014 on our team, and see how it feels.
So far with Aaron i see a powerful tough team that would need to add/improve shooting, but wouldn't get pushed around by nobody.

OT (2015)

Cool read about Karl Towns Jr that anyone getting into following kids early should read... kids are getting it earlier and earlier.

Can Gordon plays the SF position full time? Can he shoot the 3's well enough? Can he defend quicker SF? I thought he was a PF, Blake Griffin type player?

Solid questions.
His handles are vastly improved but he still has a ways to go.
Same exact thing with his shot.
He's a bit of a tweener... but the good kind of tweener ..lol

with the bullock comment add Brandon rush. if his knee is fine and shows he can play the way he use to then he is that player. he can play the 2 or the 3. solid defender that can knock down an outside shot.

Of the top 5 players in the 2014 draft (Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Gordon and An Harrison) Gordon has the highest bust potential.
