What's new

Who are you??

I am pretty private for the most part, but I'll let you guys in a little. Not one to gloat or talk about myself though my persona on here may conflict with that statement. My name is Brian am 37 and I live a life that I dreamt about, but honestly was not sure I could achieve. Came from humble beginnings, born in Clinton Utah and was the oldest of six. Knew I wanted more at a very early age than what Utah could provide. Left for las Vegas and unlv in 99 after 1 year at weber and another at u of u. Graduated in 2002 and had every intention of moving to manhattan, Oahu, Miami or Chicago. Had opportunities, but had a child with my 1 st wife who happened to be my hs sweet heart. She Wanted to move back to Utah in the worst way which led to a divorce. My oldest daughter now lives in Utah and i have made a point to see her at least once every month which is why I pass through st George so often. I pick her up at the half way point which is in beaver.

Remarried in 2007 and had a second child in 2011 and could not be happier or more fulfilled. Life has been great for me. My career really started to take off in 2007 and just recently was promoted to a very high level exec position at a strip casino. My wife is very intelligent, hot and happens to be half black and half fillipino which ill say is one fine mix. Love my family, most important to me though work can be hectic and pull me away from them more than I'd like.

Huge basketball and stat junkie. Had season tickets during the jazz heyday. Used to listen to am radio with dates in the car if a game was on. Lucky to have a wife who loves basketball as much as I do and supports my habit.

Probably more than I wanted to share but wtf, it's 4:30 in the morning.

Thanks Vermin for doing that... great story too, you've obviously very ambitious and have done very well for yourself. Sounded like you're living the life. All the best for your career man.

Keep it real, brother.

Chinese people definitely don't have a good image overall. Here in NZ we recently had an influx of Chinese into our country and I can't say I've been all that impressed with their behaviors here. They just don't get all the customs that we are used to here, so they can be seen as very rude. Plus they don't speak the language well, so that makes the problems worse. As an owner of a garden center here, I see all sorts. Most Kiwis are very fair and honest people. That's my style. But most chinese who comes through our shop, most of them would heckle and bargain without fail. They want everything 1/2 price. Some would ask you questions until the cows come home, and ended up not buying anything or saying "your stuff is too expensive". Well, what can you do? I try to treat them and at times "teach them" how things are done here in NZ.

In terms of Racism... It's hard... I mean, I've been here nearly 20 years, I'm practically a Kiwi, but because of the way I look - people just think we're like most Chinese who have just arrived off the plane... I mean, how do I change that??? I do try my best to change this image, as an example, I'm the only Asian guy who regularly go to our church. It's pretty daunting at times, but I've just got to do it... it's just the way things are.

i feel for you man, I have a number of great Asian friends here and I try and accept each as an individual rather than grouping them together, but there is an undeniable negativity against the general Asian population here, and I don't see it getting any better unfortunately.

I am 38 and 5'11" and 240. Born in Hawaii but mostly raised here so I consider myself a Utahn. 4th out of 8 kids. Went to high school at Springville playing football and running track. Married almost right out of high school to my on and off girlfriend since junior high. 4 kids now. Teach high school history and coach football/track. In order I went to school at UVU/BYU/USU/Grand Canyon(AZ)/UofU/SUU.

I like to lift weights, golf, and read and play video games. But my kids are at the age where I spend most of my time running them around and watching games.

You guys aren't alone. Chinese expats are universally hated. Here in the states, California especially, people hate the Chinese ever since they've become more affluent and started getting heavily involved in the property markets here and coming to live in droves for various reasons. People are okay with Chinatowns, just not when their town turns into China.

That is a In Living Color reference. She is 5'10", double D's, dark brown hair (blondes are for closet fagots), blue eyes, freckles and fair skin.

Wow... sounds exactly like my wife except for the eyes. My wife's are brown.

I guess it makes sense that my alt would have the same taste in women.

Your wife is 5'10"? That must mean your daughters are tall as well....

BAWSE

I can vouch for Stoked's wife... Her and her friend were in one of my Biology Labs a few semesters back!!

Tall women are soooooooooooooooooo attractive.

I'd never impose a desire on a future wife of mine in terms of looks, but part of me will die inside if my lady isn't > 5'8" (5'10-5'11" ideally)

Mine will between 5'9" and 6'1" my oldest will probably be 6'0'-6'1" barefoot.

So badass. I'd enjoy having tall children as well. I wouldn't want them being more than 6'4"-6'5" though, cuz that's when things start getting inconvenient (for dudes). 5'11" would be solid for me lasses

Pos rep begging me to set you up with my daughter? LOL

By the way, she likes to shoot guns, beat up boys that irritate her, work on her own car (oil changes, change tires, brake pad replacement, etc.) and digs a man in military uniform. Think you could hang? And yes, she is built like her mother.

Height doesn't really matter much to me. Having somewhere of similar height is more convenient though.
