Good post...... but I'm sick of burks getting left out of the discussions about next year.
You mentioned favors, kanter, hayward and burke, but burks doesnt even get a shout out?

I thought about him a lot, but I don't see where he fits. He isn't a backup pg. He is a SG. Also, Burks wont get minutes at the 1 behind Burke and Lucas. But he won't start, Rush or Hayward will. If Ty plays Hayward at the two, Burks is screwed. If Hayward plays at the three, the Burks will get minutes at the 2. BUT, with Lindsey signing/trading for defensive wings who can hit the three...I'm not sure if Burks fits that profile.

When Lindsey says that he doesn't like the term Core 4, I think it is because he doesn't see Burks as a part of that.

White team won because they actually had real PG's on that team and not chuckers playing PG, the blue team had the better big guys IMO, however too bad nobody could get them the ball.

Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to play Waiters, Wall and Walker so many minutes especially so many minutes together (mainly Wall & Walker played together I believe). Wall at least has a big name and some NBA substance to back up the minutes he got but would make sense to not pair him with Walker, Waiters, or DeRozen, would make more sense to surround him with shooters like Hayward, Thompson, Barnes or Davis. I also think Davis would be a good PF for the international game not sure why he got so many minutes at the 5 other then he was the best player on the blue team and deserved to get the most minutes.

My thoughts: Like I've been saying for years, if Hayward is your third best player you are a title team. If he is your second best player, you are a playoff team. If he is your best player, you suck. Hayward looks like the old Hayward, only better. He is an amazing role player. I try to extend him now, and get him locked up for 4 for 40. Great deal.

I'm glad Favors was hurt because he looked awful and slow. Other than looking bigger, Favors looks like he hasn't improved much. I don't even discuss an extension unless it starts out in the 7 million range, which he will laugh at. Favors has to show me something before I give him 10+ a year. I hope his injury was the problem because he doesn't look like he has improved at all.

Our offense is going to SUCK this year. Bad. Ouch. Burke isn't a good NBA offensive player yet. Hayward can't carry a team. Favors, yikes. Kanter is still learning and hasn't played consistent minutes ever. Lowe is right. We have potential, but we will be bad this year. Wiggins might be a real possibility.

If I'm Utah, and my record is fourth worst at the end of March, Hayward gets some sort of tendinitis. This team has pieces, potential and cap space. You need a "the man". This draft has that guy. Do whatever you need to to get him. Pop has never regretted tanking. Do it. Build a title winning team. Don't worry about Stoked and other whinning fans. If you get Wiggins, they will pretend the tank never happened and come running with their wallets opened.

Yep. Hopefully we get one of those players in next year's draft (Wiggins or Jabari) and one guy already on the team becomes better than Hayward (Favors or Kanter).

Yep. Hopefully we get one of those players in next year's draft (Wiggins or Jabari) and one guy already on the team becomes better than Hayward (Favors or Kanter).

That's why in the "Cut, Extend, Trade" thread, I had us trading Favors.

I think Kanter could be the 2nd best player. Wiggins/Jabari the 1st best player.

I thought the bigs were underutilized. Lots of selfish guard play. Out to impress and all they seemed to want to do was jack up shots. Couldn't run the pick and roll worth crap. Kind of sad seeing how often players were open and didn't get the ball.

Really liked Davis and Irving. Barnes was a surprise. Relieved to know Favors had a bad back, thought he looked slow. Hayward had a better 1st half than 2nd half.

Nope, that's how he is. Unreal talent, but I'd lump him (Lillard) in the chucker category. Although Waiters is in another league when it comes to chucking. If I were a Cavs fan, I'd be excited about the future, but I'd constantly be playing the what-if games. Cavs could have rolled out a lineup this year of Irving, Oladipo, Barnes, Valanciunas, and Bynum - Yikes. Instead they have Irving, Waiters, Paul Millsap, Paul Millsap and Bynum.

I want the youth to play their butts off. Go after every single win and let the chips fall where they may. Sitting people with fake injuries or making adjustments in game in order to lose is despicable.

Nice post. From what I've seen so far, agree regarding Favors. If we're lucky, he'll turn into Tyson Chandler at best. Again, hope I'm wrong and he exceeds expectations.
