Following potential 2014 draftees

One last thing, I see the FIRE in Randle's belly that I don't yet see in Favors. That may come this year as the key is handed to Favors, but Randle just has that HUNGER I haven't seen in a PF coming out of college since LeBron.
You can't be a great defender and not have fire in the belly. Favors doesn't look the part but he plays it.
I'd throw in GSW '14 pick as well to sweeten the deal. We still keep our '14 pick.

Grab Julius Randle & Andrew Harrison.

2 very HUNGRY and extremely skilled guys who have legit size for their positions. Forget about trying to run an offense, these guys would just take guys off the dribble, demand double team, all game long.

LeBron & Wade lite waiting to happen.
I'm not going to beat around the bush here..... Your dumb!

We need to keep an €¥€ on this kid.

It's "you're" as in "you are," and those repeating periods are called elipses (used for omiting words or trailing thoughts), which are represented by only using three of them, not five. You're dumb.

Before going on the attack, perhaps you better look in the mirror. The repeating periods are called ellipses and they're used for omitting words. Pot meet kettle!

You can't just be a good defender though... Offense wins championships in this league so you've got to be hungry OFFENSIVELY as well.

Guys like Randle is hungry offensively. He's hungry EARLY and OFTEN. He's RELENTLESS and will never be satisfied.

How many good offensive players do we need. We have Burke, burks, Hayward, and Kanter, and probably whoever we draft with our own pick. How did we do with guys like Boozer Memo or Al or Millsap. If you were talking about just an average to good defender I'd agree, but Favors could be a DPOY candidate every year given the minutes. Think Bill Russell. He didn't exactly light it up offensively, but he led his Boston teams to the tune of 11 chips. You don't get rid of or trade players with that kind of defensive ability. They don't grow on trees. I'll take my chances looking for other ways of acquiring offense. Don't forget about guys like Russell or Rodman. I'd trade Kanter before Favors.

LOL... for real bro??

I think it's too early for an answer to that kkk. Anyone that is sure they know is just purely guessing.
I've watched Randle more than everyone here combined, I am certain. I love his game, his 'tude.. and think he'll be a monster.
Right now, though, without seeing him at even tye college level, its a toss up.

I do think we know what we have with Favors. I would say he's a 14/15pt 10/11rb guy with a defensive presence. Not shabby at all.
If I think Favors re-signs for $11mm... I probably stick with him..... but it's just too early to tell.

Kentucky had it's annual alumni game a few days ago. A few near quotes (not exact, but the gist);

John Wall on Andrew Harrison - Tough to guard. One of the very best shooting PGs I've seen at the college level in a long time.. but also very strong.. NBA strong, right now. Also mentioned how he's a different type of PG. Rather than just relying on sheer speed, Andrew possesses a coolness about his game whereby he goes about methodically picking apart the defense and then being very decisive exploits a weakness in a split second.

Demarcus Cousins on Julius Randle - "I tried to come in and just intimidate him with my size and strength and he wasn't having none of that."
Said Julius is going to wear out defenders because he goes so hard on both ends of the court.. Demarcus asked if that was even allowed in the NBA... (some won't find that funny, I'm sure).

More as I remember.

Yeah obviously all will be revealed around May '14 whether or not this is a good deal and whether or not it will be on the table. I don't think it would be. Unless Favors has a GREAT year. I''m rooting for Favors obviously to do that, but if he struggled, and Randle fared well, I won't think twice about grabbing Randle.

No one is going to do Favors for Randle straight up. And if they would, it's only IF Favors comes off a monster season - in which case you wouldn't want to trade him. Randle is projected to be an all-star caliber player on a rookie scale contract. That's a huge value. Even IF Favors were to have an all-star season, Jazz would then need to pay him a huge amount. Does a rebuilding team in the top-3 take Randle for rookie dollars or Favors at $11-$12M? I'd go with Randle if I were the GM...and that's why Utah couldn't make that kind of trade.

That said, I agree with the 15/10 number. Put in Kanter at about that range (maybe a few points more) and Hayward at 18 pts/per. If the Jazz can get 25-30 points from their other two starters and 25-30 off the bench, that's exactly what they need.
