Two handed dunk, alley oop to Favors, PNr assist, show up and lead, and Stockton like pick on a big are all great. But what I want to see first is the energy, and determination that he showed at Michagan rather than the summer league reserved in a shell Burke.

Burke shot 38& from 3 last yea and 34% the year before. While those percentages aren't horrible, they are not elite, especially for college range . He's not even best on the team.

Maybe the percentages aren't elite-- but his offensive orchestrating was elite. Michigan was the best offense in the country, and it was mostly because of Trey Burke. He's an unbelievable leader, reads defenses extremely well, and has a stellar shot. He's essentially one skill (consistent-finishing at the rim) away from being an all-star. Big 'if'-- of course. And luckily, our future looks promising even if he never makes this leap.

Holy crap, we already have an almost all-star and he hasn't even logged one NBA minute.

Not necessarily, I said he's one skill away. It's sorta similar to Brandon Knight. If he had a great first step, he'd be a different point-guard. I wouldn't call Knight a almost-, or a fringe-allstar.

Yeah who am I kidding, Burke is gonna ****ing rock it.

Burks gon' drop 30 on the Heat. Calling it now.

"One thing John Stockton taught @Trey_Burke3 that stuck with him most: "The better passer you are the better scorer you'll be"

So glad to hear Trey is learning this.

I want to see Burke knock Chrissy Paul or Tony Parker on their behind, stand over the top of them to make sure that they are feeling pain, then yell at them, "This here is OVER!!!!" Then having them fear Burke like they would a rabid grizzly bear. That is what I want.

I hope Trey knew exactly the opportunity he had to spend some time with Stockton. I hope he recognized the master and learned at his knee, and will bring some of that learning to bear. If he did, it could be a very good season indeed.

I also hope it didn't hurt his self-esteem too much when he realized, after a day of playing pick-up and one-on-one with John "Gym Rat" Stockton, that a geezer in short shorts was fully capable still of wiping the floor with him.

In his interviews it sounded like he took a lot from it, now if he can put it into his game we'll see. He also mentioned that he's turned a new leaf with summer league and has learned from it too.

Can't wait to see him play with this great nucleus, I really hope the jazz surprise everyone and they are team to be feared (and then golden state gets injured and we get their #1 pick).
