Hahahaha sneakers came in this thread and continues to lay dueces.

Braugh, I'm an avid Burks supporter. So, again, stfu

Glad you could repent and admit you were wrong. I, and Burks, forgive you.

It's amazing the difference Burks has on your life when you let him in and let him take over at the end of games....

unless he starts hitting the 3 or at least midrange the drives will disappear. will not convert yet.

Agreed. A SG has to S. Lets hope this is his breakout game and the outside shooting comes around.

For the record, while I have never bashed Burks I have not fully been a member either. I'm in full Kool-aid mode and I do not care. So sign me up!

I need to be a bishop of this church or some high ranking bloated member.

I think that yourself, zulu, and I should be prophets of the church (I might be forgetting 1 person, seems like there were 4 of us)

Franklin can be the antichrist of the church.

Repped for this wonderful thread being created

"Good to see you all this evening... I know for some of you it has been a while and as I scan over the congregation I see some new faces may I even say some of our lost sheep have finally made it into the fold...

We would like to take this time to share our praises for the one who built this humble building we are gathered in today... The driver of the basket, The drawer of fouls the jacker of the knife, the disher of dimes for his apostles.... The crashes of the boards.... The man who will take our jazz into the promise land... Yes, yes I am talking about non other than the Great Houdini himself the Almighty...

Alec Burks!!!!!!

Can I get an Amen????

Jacker of the knife lol....
Repped

Wow, it's a good thing Ty took Burks out when he was so hot. We could have won the game. Wow, that was close. Good job Ty for tanking a game.

Lol
The whole thing about burks needing rest is a little much imo.
Burks is 22 and in great shape and coming off the bench...... I don't think he needed rest and if he really did then he could get his rest during timeouts.
He was really feeling it in the second half.
Thank god harris fouled out so burks could get back in the game

The fact that he comes off the bench is actually EVIDENCE that he may have been fatigued. Bench players play their minutes in a shorter envelope of time.

This is common sense. I have no problem with Corbs giving him a breather.

Players can play all 48 minutes..... I have seen it happen.
Finley averaged over 40 per game for YEARS..... Iverson did it often as well...... and many, many more.
The fact that burks comes of the bench means that he is not starting the 1st or third quarters which means it is basically impossible for him to play 40 minutes

I am quite confident that a 22 year old burks, in great shape, can play 40 minutes. (also you can use timeouts to get him rest if he is really "hot" like he was last night)

Edit: Hell I have even seen big al and millsap both play over 50 minutes in a game multiple times.
In an endurance contest, I would take burks over big al everytime

Also @huge..... In the game thread I credited corbin and said that he did a really good job with his rotations.

I didn't have a big problem with him taking burks out.... My point is simply that I believe that he could have stayed in and been just fine as players play a lot more minutes than burks did last night all the time..... Not to mention the fact that he didn't appear tired at all.
He was building confidence and momentum in that second half and it looked like his great play was giving him lots of energy and pumping him up to were he was never going to get tired.
He looked like he could have played 60 minutes last night.... I saw no signs of fatigue, just a dude ballin out and havin a good time

Hayward replaced him and played some great defense. Then Burks returned. I dont think the substitution determined the outcome. Nor do I misunderstand corbs idea. That's all.

Watching Burks was a dream come true. You of all posters know ive been waiting for that.

All hail anTy-Chribin for putting Burks in this role to lead the second unit of desolation and create havoc on thee Thundergods.

I agree actually... I had no problem with him giving burks a rest..... My only point is that I don't think he NEEDED it.
Im nitpicking for sure.
I thought corbin did a good job last night

Revelations 10:1 - In the beginning there was an off-balanced shot, and that shot was Burks, and Burks was with the shot and Burks made the shot.
