If the GS pick lands in the expected 16-22 range, do we keep that pick?
I get the feeling the Jazz won't add two more 1st rounders to an already young team. Especially with the possibility of Neto coming over.

I think so. We probably package our own 2nd round pick, which will be decent, to move the GS pick up 4 or 5 spots.
There's no protection on that GS pick.
I'd do Hayward & GST pick for Top #10 pick.

Definitely keep the pick. There's talent back to that range and the Jazz can use players at every spot. Neto - even Burke - aren't locks to be the PG's of the future. If the Jazz get Wiggins (or Parker) to be part of the wing rotation, Utah could still use another shooter off the bench. And definitely could use a backup PF, especially one who can shoot. I agree Lindsey may try to move up using the early 2nd-rounder. Or we could be totally surprised during the free agency period. Maybe the Jazz trade the rights to whomever is selected with the GS pick and the 2nd rounder, and perhaps even Burks, in order to acquire a very good veteran.
If we do.. I hope its an elite PG.

Outside the two top10 locks I only like Micic. But Jazz will give Burke 2 or 3 years until they decide about him. By that time hes 23/24. So we'll have a pretty good idea with 95% accuracy. And by that time there'll be plenty FA PG available. Probably won't hurt to surround Dantius Parggins with a solid veteran in his prime(26yr old Damian Lillard will be RFA in 2016 -> Match that max Portland, 29yr old Mike Conley Jr UFA, 30yr old GOran Dragic(but he has an ETO in 2015)) In 2017 when Burke is RFA there will be Rose, Deron, Russell, Steph Curry, Ty Lawson, Jrue Holiday ane George Hill available. At this point I'm not convinced, and his lack of defense will be probably problematic. And if you're in a free agent class that contains 5-6 All Star Point Guards, with 3 of them having All-NBA 1st/2nd team potential you're not getting $40M extensions so easy. You'll first have to wait until these juggernauts are off the market. Meanwhile capspace of other teams who sign different positions(e.g. Griffin, Ibaka and Gibson are FA as well) is dwindling. And THEN after that Trey Burke starts negotiating. Good luck getting a rich offer sheet that the Jazz match. Could very well get Brandon Jennings'd. Has an offer for like $36M/4 in 2016, he thinkgs he's worth 44. Next year he finds only 30. Bad Luck Brian loses to Scumbag Steve. Surprised? But maybe he's the 2nd coming of CP3 and can command Max in 2016. Pinch me, so I can wake up from my nap.
