Following potential 2014 draftees

If you are using a top three pick on someone you don't make him fit your system. You make your system fit him. There is no reason to draft Randle and play him at the 3. we would put him at the four and get another player by trading Favors or Kanter.

Do you know whether he prefers to play the 3 or the 4?

Yeah, I've heard that literally every NBA team will be represented at the game.
I'm not going to the game, but I will see if I can get any intel from some guys that will be around those guys all night.

Please that would be so great!!!! I am stoked to watch the games tonight. I will give my "expert analysis" after the games.

Randle is more aggressive than Beasley, more athletic, and it seems like he has more of a drive.

Could he be a tweener? I don't think so. He measured in at 6'9 and 250 pounds with a 6'11 wingspan and 8'9.5" standing reach when he was 17/18. Will he grow more? Who knows...but he's definitely got good enough size to play the 4 position, and he's certainly athletic enough to do so.

However like I've said countless times, he's an immense mismatch for other defenders at the 4 position...if you play him at the 3, he's less of a mismatch. Much less. He's not a tweener IMO though.

Yes it does matter which position he will create the most mismatch.

However, if his game is to hold the ball at the top of the key/perimeter and make plays for others - if that's how he plays - then I'd say he's more suited as a 3 and I personally think he'll also enjoy playing the 3 more too.

But unless PKM asks him point-blank which position he prefers to play in the NBA, we'll just have to wait and see.

Alright alright... "the tribe has spoken"...

Geez guys... would it hurt to consider another theory for once?!?!

I believe only time will tell... let's re-visit this in 4-5 years time and see if he isn't the 2nd coming of LeBron. (I do believe he CAN be).

I have a feeling Randle will play the postion of facilitator on offense. Be it from the top of the key, the elbow, or the post, depending on the defense. The rest of the lineup would be filled out by whomever gives the team the best chance to win.
On defense he will guard the person which gives him the highest chance for success.

Numbering and positions are irrelevant, do you not understand?

Please stop

Of course I do get this - it's just trying to put it into context of our team having both Kanter & Favors in the lineup as well I do like them both BTW.

I think having Favors, Kanter, and Randle in the game at the same time is not advisable. Would be fun to watch and against some teams would be dominant, but not a way to beat most teams, imo.

Alright thanks. Appreciate your input.

He's okay.. maybe a good pickup with GSW pick.

Btw, Hant.. are we rooting for or against each other's teams? I'm good either way.
