Following potential 2014 draftees

Right now GS is 7th tied with Dallas. Lakers and Houston are below them so there is no way to determine if they will be the 3 seed or miss the playoffs.

I can't remember if I mentioned this earlier or not, but Gary Harris is making me eat my words. He looks really good so far. Some of that was because of poor defense by whichever Harrison was guarding him, but it's mainly cause he's just good. Looks like a smart, consistent player. A darker JJ Redick perhaps.

It would be so nice to have Sac towns draft pick... We should offer to take Jimmer for their draft pick... as dumb as their organization is, they might do it. Only problem is that if we took on Jimmer, even for their unprotected first rounder, some posters on Jazzfanz would be pissed haha

I agree. That is why if the Jazz finish with the worse record they will be guaranteed to get one of the top 5 since they will be picking no lower than 4th.

For all the Parker lovers, he may just fall into the Jazz lap. Right now I am torn between who I want. I will be happy with any of the four, I just don't know which one. It is like trying to decide which Victoria Secret model is the hottest.

Honestly, Pakers poise has got me settled on the Parker Bandwagon. There is something special about him. I just think he's a winner and a leader and a good dude. I would love to add Jabari Parker. I think Parker would fit in well with the young guys, the team culture and Utah.

Again, Jabari just seems like a winner to me. Not sure Wiggins will get there. might just be T-mac.

I think T-Mac would have been a winner with a better supporting cast and less injuries in Houston.

I've been saying Gary Harris could be an Eric Gordon player for us since we got the GSW pick. I can see him starting at the 2, and be that quick guard who can handle the ball and is a reliable 3pt shooter for us.

So only 10'ish games into the season, where do we see the GSW falling?

Just trying to mix up the conversation a bit from; jabari wiggins jabari wiggins jabari wiggins defense offense jabari wiggins jabari wiggins

I've been saying this in the "Curry got injured thread" that I think GSW will finish 7th in the West in this sort of order:

OKC
Spurs
Clippers
Memphis
HOU
POR
GSW
DAL

I really do think POR means business this year. They seems to have all the stars that they need to contend (legit All Stars in Aldridge and a potential perennial All Stars in Lillard). They've got McCollum at the 2. They have Robin Lopez anchoring the Center position, sliding Aldridge to his natural position at the PF.

While they've "tanked" to get players the previous 2-3 seasons, I think Paul Allen has decided they've got enough talent to shoot for the playoffs and I think they'll surprise some teams this year.

memphis better pick it up. Looks like a lottery team right now.

Now I've never seen Dante Exum play, not even a highlight or anything, but everything about his size and description of his game makes him seem like a slightly more advanced Alec Burks. For the people that have seen him play, is that a fair assessment?

I don't like the comp at all. Exum is a high BBIQ, heady player. He's just better.

Was interesting in the UK game. When Aaron Harrison was guarding Gary Harris, Harris lit up the scoreboard... but when Young was put on him, he was shut down completely.
I think it says a lot about Harrison's and Young's defense... as well as how Harris may do in the NBA against longer/better defenders.

Those that say he would go #1 if playing in the U.S. are wrong tho, imo. I think he's solid at 4/5.. but not top 3.

Is there a common comparison scouts are making with him? I know you hate them, but I feel like I don't have a clear grasp on the guy.

Lol

What is so funny? Does your crystal ball say it is a certain fact GS makes the playoffs? I know it is early and there is a 90 percent chance GS makes the playoffs but didn't one year Denver miss the playoffs even though they won 50 games? Everyone is saying they are a lock to be a top seed or make the playoffs but I am not buying it as a sure thing.

Things will short out by the end of December -Jan. I still think Memphis will make the playoffs and I think Minnesota will continue to surprise as long as they stay healthy which they haven't been able to do. I know the Lakers suck but I never count them out. If Kobe is 80 percent he will make a big difference. Right now they haven't played themselves out of contention even though they are 4-5.

Why would Sactown do this? Jimmer is not in their future plans and will be a FA next year. He has a cheap contract and isn't complaining. THere is no way they are going to throw away a top 10 pick (top 5). The Jazz would have to give up the GS 2017 pick Burks and some financial incentive or another promising player (Gobert) and that isn't enough.
