TCU at Utah

Wow....

Utes still seem lost... Thinking about TCU still? You've had 5 quarter to forget about them. How do you not get up for beating down Notre Dame?

Maybe Utah just isn't that good?

Wynn has no confidence right now, feel like he's still thinking about that TCU game

I agree. Wynn looks totally shaken.

But so has the playcalling. What happened to the wide open scheme? Even the playcaller appears scared right now.

Truly, I don't feel that Wynn is the answer @ QB. Even against crappers like Wyoming he seemed unimpressive to me. I'd much rather have Cain. At least he can connect on quick passes and his a threat to run. Right now I think Heaps >>>>> Wynn

I know that's not saying much.... But still, Wynn is horrible...

Utes' have been absolutely awful.

Fixed for ya.

Their offense has been worthless. Special teams have scored more points for the other team than their offense... Their defense has been weak... And penalties? 10 in the first half alone...

Utes look completely uninspired. Yet, how wouldn't you be highly motivated to play in this game? Redeem yourself, play on NATIONAL TV, play against one of the most well known programs in all of sports, and yet Utes are playing this game as if they're playing Snow College on a Friday afternoon.

Weird.

I'm sure they're still pretty dejected about that TCU loss. In their conference it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot to play for anymore. They lost their shot at a BCS bowl, conference championship and (unlikely) national championship all in the same game, in very deflating fashion. I'd have a hard time coming out and showing what I'm made of if the end result is the Independence Bowl or some ****.

This game certainly is very un-Ute like. But their Special Teams in particular have been spoon-feeding ND's offense, or just giving them free points just for being lazy.

Sorry, Utes. Still a fun experience and no shame there. @ND isn't a gimme for anyone.

But on the flip side I erased my sig lines so that one whiney guy has one less thing to cry about. So you got that going for you.

Three questions, which is worse, a beatdown by the #3 team in the nation at home? Or a crushing embarrassing loss on NBC against a Freshmen QB whose team has won a grand total of 4 games this year? To me, I know the TCU one was more disappointing, since it meant no more BCS... But this loss is a hell of a lot worse. Notre Dame, a sucky team, is bending you over on National TV worse than what you did to Alabama.

Secondly, how are you going to view this season?

Thirdly, how can this year be declared a success if you lose on Nov 27?

No BCS.... No MWC championship... Embarrassing loss to ND... And a loss to your arch rival, BYU?

Not trying to troll, just wanting some honest answers.

This Tommy Rees character throws like a girl. I can't wait until Mr. Heaps rips your secondary a new one.

TCU is not going to get any love from Utah losing like this. Pollsters are going to look at it and say,"hmmmm maybe TCU isn't as good as we thought if ND can go in and do the same thing to Utah on their home turf." The BCS will use any excuse they can to make sure TCU and B.S.U. don't get in the the NC.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I was afraid they would have hangover after that TCU asskicking. I didn't know it would be so much that they wouldn't even make the trip.

Like, not gonna crack the BCS not-that-good, or 5-5 not-that-good?

...how are you going to view this season?

It's tough. When expectations are so high, the fact that it was still a winning season is totally lost in the dustcloud.

Again, tough to swallow, but I think you are being EXTREMELY presumptuous in just assuming BYU will win that game. While I can see why coug fans are more emboldened lately, I think next week's SDSU game will be a better barometer.

Clearly.

I agree. But it does appear that BYU is playing better than Utah at this point in time. It could be that BYU finally reached the cupcake part of their schedule, while Utah's is finally over.
A lot can be said for failing to show up at Notre Dame though. I don't totally buy the line about being hung over from TCU's beatdown. When I played (granted, it was only High School, so it's not a totally apples to apples comparison, but I think it's still comparable), getting my *** kicked like that made me only want to go out the next week and prove myself even more. I would have come out totally pissed off and wanting to rip the head off of Manti Te'o.

Heck, never mind what Utah did today to hurt TCU. TCU didn't do themselves any favors only winning by five at home against SDSU.
