Kanter for???

Bad team makes young player even worse. Kanter does not have any experience as a starter and so normal to be so inconsistent without any target, game plan, motivation and PG. Put him on the floor next to defensive name in a playoff team, he's a gem. Just think him in Houston next to Howard, next to gasol in Memphis, next to Noah in Bulls, next to Hibbert in Pacers, next to Davis in New orleans, next to Ibaka in Thunder etc..

He's got range to shoot, moves to post up, able to rebound ( Even though he's dropped dramatically in recent matches) and just 21 years old. The fanz react immediately due to being tanking mode. Once he gets his confidence and physical strenght back, check him out again.

We were all excited to see what a duo of Kanter and Favors could do. I don't think we have yet to really see it. I still think that duo would be nice with the right coaching staff. I don't see Gobert as a replacement for Kanter. I see him as an important part of a good 3 man rotation.

Word. This offense is terrible now, but would be super-duper uber terrible with a starting frontcourt of Gobert and Favors

How about Kanter pulls his tampon out and shows us what he has in the past?

BTW, two plodding bigs is an outdated game. I've always wanted to trade one.

I get so tired of this outdated game crap. You can't blame this teams spacing problems on Kanter. If our backcourt can't shoot worth a lick that's not his fault. If Corbin won't let Kanter shoot that's also not his fault. Place the blame on the Tank, Corbin and to some degree Hayward where it belongs.

Kanter still has a great shot at being a 20/10 guy. He's got some mental stuff to work out. And, it would be great to see a system define the right role for him, and for him to feel some consistent success in that role. Crazy talk, I know.

Agree. Corbin's "coaching" does everything but let us see who these players are for real. One positive side effect: They all lose leverage in contract talks.

Silver linings bitches.

Corbins a genious, saving jazz $$$$$

Yeah I mean what's Hayward's agent gonna say, except Lindsey and Corbin set this team up to fail, that's not HAyward's real value.
Jazz be like: Yeah man he got the reins to be first option and do what he wants on offense, he didn't look like a first option. Why would we pay him 1st option money?
Then Hayward's agent be like: yo I'ma look around who is willing to pay him tons of money and either he finds one or he doesn't.
Then it's up to the Jazz to either match, S&T or let him walk. If they don't find you can lowball him and pay market value without upside inclusions.

I would trade him to the Bulls for the rights to Mirotic. Mirotic's numbers are off the charts. Great 3 point shooter. Would pair well with Favors. I would also trade Favors for the rights to Mirotic. Mirotic probably would have gone #1 in last year's draft.

bulls would be foolish to agree on that.

Man, I don't know if Chicago does that, but great idea. So, if the Bulls are going to give up on Rose (not really, but stop building around him and hope he can give them something, kind of like what Indiana has done with Granger), I'm not sure they would give up Mirotic.

What is Mirotic's defense like?

A Kanter/Mirotic trade is probably more realistic than any I would hope for, and the reason being is you have two really nice players on paper....You do know that Kanter can play in the NBA and be effective offensively. I think worst case scenario for Kanter is Boozer (actually, their stats are very, very similar).

Very, very interesting indeed.

My dream team would be a long, athletic team, who LOVES to run, can defend and shoot...kind of the team that Horny is building in PHX. Dang. We had better get Wiggins or Parker.

Not ready to give up on Kanter TBH. He's had a rough stretch, but this is a rough stretch for this team. Combine that with the fact that he's 21 years old, never played a college game and your basically looking at someone who could be a junior in college at this point if he didn't come straight out.

Give it time - never go full retard when it comes to the tank.

Can we trade Green to another board for a better poster?

Seriously, don't ****s with the UnderKanter!

What about Favors defense as of late? Hasn't been that good... You are all too ready to throw the towel in on every player right now just because we're not winning. We are designed to lose right now. With a rookie PG who can't facilitate, a backup PG who can't facilitate or score, R.J. getting extended minutes, Corbin coaching, Rush having a mental block, Beidrins being himself --we have no hope, and no real basis for judging anyone too harshly right now. Every defensive lapse isn't Kanters fault. Favors has looked horrible as well lately, and it is due to poor perimiter defense by Burke, Lucas, Burks, and Jefferson. Those guys can't defend, which makes everyone elses rotations a lot harder. If Favors is looking bad defensively, you know something is up.

Chill out with the "let's trade so and so for..." talk right now. Kanter is still an elite level prospect, and very young. He still has a lot of untapped potential. I still believe he can hit the 3 ball if given that green light.

Umm I agree that we shouldn't talk about trading him. But don't agree that Favors defense has been bad.

Little late to the party, so sorry if this has been discussed, but how about Chandler Parsons and Omar Asik for Kanter. Kanter I believe wouldn't mind playing pf and can play outside and do pick and pop. Parsons gives us a much needed shooter.

youd have to throw 5 million in salary onto that, and who would you move in that price range?

That's not bad. Houston probably declines, they really like Parsons.
