Following potential 2014 draftees

Yeah, then the next game he went 1-5 from 3's from memory.

He was 29% beyond the "college arc" last year. This year there's this HUGE HYPE about how he had improved his shooting. He's currently sitting at 32% from 3's.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Respond to the d wade comment doe

Smart looks like about the same type athlete as a young D-Will. With worse shooting, dribbling, and passing ability.

Good to see the board finally got a legit talent evaluator onboard. I've been saying this for the longest time about Smart. Finally someone with some sense.

Welcome.

correct me if I am wrong here but Hayward hit 40% from 3 his freshman year then 20% his sophomore year when they played in the final 4. good thing he didn't become better.

A 3% increase over a summer from a distance is pretty much if it's a big enough sample size. Maybe right now his shot is so respected that he's getting guarded better and his shooting in other areas improved since 3point regressed for reasons of easier drives. Think outside the box. [insert random Asian joke or simply PKM's working maxim]

D Wade is a better athlete. Smart needs more skills than Wade to reach the same level of effectiveness.

If Smart would be anywhere close to D-Wade with knees we wouldn't be talking if he deserved to go 3-7, we would argue if he's 1 or 2.

Love how you leave out defense, leadership, BBIQ and soft factors as personality.

Cool, then I'll keep leaving them out. Sorry I didn't include these, but these are too difficult for me to evaluate. Leadership is pretty much impossible to quantify.

Smart could turn out great, I don't know. But I don't think he is, or ever will be as good as Burke. He's definitely not even close now.

Well I know that Deron has 0 leadership. He's a quitter. Not that I have anything against it. but the team paying him $20M I guess expects a little bit more. But maybe Brooklyn will finally make some noise now in his 3rd/4th year with them.

Earl Watson said 'Hi'.

Why dont we just bring him back?

There's a difference between media leadership and real on court visible leadership. But maybe Earl Watson is a great leader and veteran presence. But that doesn't help you when you don't have enough skills. It's the combination.

oh KKK my point is players can make their shooting better unless their mechanics are screwed up beyong belief (brewer). Smarts mechanics arent awful. I still dont want him.

Did anyone else mention that Smart is foul prone?

Also, didn't Smart have a game a few days ago that he got blown out or completely embarrassed? I don't know the specifics but I know his coach called him out specifically for not showing up. That doesn't look good for his leadership resume.
