The Bucks understood it very well...I could see them become the new OKC if they draft Jabari or Wiggins.

Durant on the other end would be able to guard Kanter just fine with his length. he would have fronted and dared us to throw it over the top.

LOL. The thing is I agree with you. I want Kanter to play, I want the youth to develop, I want the Jazz to get a top 3 pick. But if your a coach who's job is on the line when it comes to how well you coach I have to say Corbin got this one right. Playing Marv and Jefferson against Durant was the smart coaching call.

Actually I agree with you.... just pissed that the core 5 played about 20 seconds together total.
Marv and jeffy are ruining this season for me.

Loving what I'm seeing from the young guys, just want to see more (I'm greedy)
 
I love the Jazz and I love every win, but the wins seem so much sweeter this year. Must be coming in here after them and seeing all the butt-hurt, pusillanimous, self-righteous pricks whine about how we won.

You have the opportunity this year to finally draft yourself a replacement for John, Karl, and Duron and you blow it. Now we are going to be stuck with drafting another role player (probably Hayward's replacement) and we will be back to square one. Apparently we enjoy being stuck at 11-8 in the west.

I'm hoping to get a top pick, but, honestly, what do you all expect the Jazz to do? Pull out the starters and play the scrubs if we are ahead in any game? I don't think you can try to lose games, so for games like tonight, you might as well go along for the ride and enjoy yourself. I was at the game and couldn't help myself, I enjoyed the hell out of it.

If the FO is serious about tanking, the solution is not to try to lose games, but to deal veterans, like Jefferson and/or Williams and give the reigns completely to the youth--even then, we can't guarantee that they won't pull off some winning streaks here and there. What do we do in that case? (By the way, why couldn't Marvin Williams be part of our future? He's a solid player that can be a good complementary piece on a competitive team. I'm not so sure that the FO doesn't see him as a potential LT piece.)

It's a fine line the Jazz are trying to walk. In the process, they're gonna win some games, for better or worse.
 
Dennis Lindsey has to make something before trade deadline the alternative is to promise the extension to Corbin and let him tank in peace.

I hope he will just hinder Corbin trading at least one of his two pets.

The biggest frustration i have is with posts like these...

To answer your question, YES!!!!!!!!

Fire the coach, give away players (like the Bulls just did), bench some with phantom injuries.....

Do whatever it takes to get Jabari or Wiggins

Dude, we aren't reinventing the wheel here. Countless teams have done this (Seattle, Chicago, SA, GS), are doing this (see the Chicsgo Bulls), and will do this.

The long-term health of the franchise is so much more important than whatever short-term gains we are making right now.

Its quite simple..... less jeffy and marv..... more kanter and burks.

That's not intentionally losing or playing scrubs

Yep this is exactly the approach that amazes me. Apparently, there are many on this site who simply lost an appreciation for the game of basketball. Instead of a natural excitement after a great game which included a poster, a duel of two shooters and many other subplots those people are only capable to see it through the eyes of a cold-blooded bean counter: recalculate the winning percentage, the number of ping-pong balls in 6 months, how many minutes played player X and how many player Z... That what looks pathetic to me.



Sometimes I wonder why do these people watch any Jazz games this season: wouldn't it be better to wait 2-3 more years until the Jazz become contenders? Meanwhile all data that they need could be easily obtainable from the box scores. Seriously, what happened to the love of the game?

I would enjoy watching the Jazz if they dressed 5 Chinese-trained monkeys and played them. I think it might have something to do with me being a Jazz fan, for better or worse.

Man I think that Sloan still command there....he has recommended Corbin and probably he is against the tank as a matter of principle. He never liked the rookies and he has almost always preferred experienced players.
The way Corbin is managing Kanter is the same as Sloan would make....it means just caring to inculcate mental toughness without caring too much about talent.
Players that has been coached by Sloan usually stay for a long time in Nba's orbit but they will never be key players of an Nba championship.
