Following potential 2014 draftees

Stauskas is the best player in the Big 10. I would love to have him on this team, but I probably wouldn't take him with our pick (if it's early).

I just think everybody is overrating LaVine. I haven't seen much of a midrange game on him, he basically either dunks or shoot 3's, he's skinny as hell, and doesn't even start for UCLA. Plus, this isn't Howland's UCLA where they played the worst offense in the freaking world. I think LaVine is a fine player, but he's not even an option at where we're supposed to be drafting.

I love it when Hants starts contributing.

(and his sig is awesome!)

Since I'm one of the few people here who actually enjoy talking about baskethoops, and I have a tendency to get banned quite frequently, I'm going to work on just sticking to this thread. I'm back, female dogs (I'm sure if I curse I'll get banned).

Great arc on his shot, along with a quick release .. great in the open court.

(really want to see what he can do in college .. besides get bad grades)

So to come up with a comp for Aaron Gordon, if he's an athletic 6'9" defensive-minded combo-forward with limited shooting touch and perimeter skills, that would make him similar to... Josh Smith? ...Thad Young?

Remember guys, players can learn to shoot if they work on it properly. Ask Bryon Russel and Jeremy Evans. It's better to draft a guy that has the physical tools and the work ethic.

I think someone thought of the Josh Smith comparison before. It's not bad.

Lately, I've idly thought that maybe this draft might be eerily similar to that 1984 draft when Olajuwon went first, Bowie second, and Jordan third. Joel Embiid is climbing draft boards and is looking like he could possibly end up as the #1 pick, and some have even made comparisons between he and the Dream. If that happens, Wiggins and Parker will probably be the next two picks, but in what order? Perhaps one will end up becoming an epic bust like Bowie, while the other goes on to be an All-World superstar like Jordan.

Bowie busted because he broken his foot/ankle and was never the same player. The only real comparision is that Embiid might be the top pick like Hakeem was.

Oh he's not going in the 2nd round. Mid to late first for him.

Having a very good game against Iowa so far.

Ryan Kelley is putting up some good numbers for the lakers now. he actually will be a free agent. Cheap alternative to Marvin to look at for a stretch 4/5. A lot like Channing Frye.

I think Gordon, josh smith comparison is good but I think Gordon is more dedicated.

stauskas is a late first now.

amen to let walker play.

I am not sure about lavine.

Gerald green is looking like a player. He's better than Deron now.

Told you all that we should have drafted him. I am finally vindicated! It only took 10 years...
