Free agency will now save the Jazz? I think the pro-DL homers are way out in left field.
First of all, have you seen the free agency class?
Secondly, we need a franchise player. We don't need more vets who come here out of desperation trying to revive their careers.
Thirdly, our own history leaves me less than enthused about free agency. The last time we made a splash in free agency was with Memo and Boozer. However, that team still sucked until we drafted our franchise player.
We need a franchise player. Let's stop kidding ourselves into thinking that 12 role players will do anything in this league. The pistons model is an exception to the rule. And even then, they had sheed (who was nearly a franchise player) and Rip (who was better than anyone on this roster) and one of the best coaches in league history. Oh, and they played the dysfunctional Kobe defending himself against rape charges Lakers without Malone.
Our best players are at best 3rd options on championship teams.
