Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

When I was watching the game today, every time they showed Miles, I thought of the "Clank the Clown" name and I LOL'd.

2. C.J. Miles’ blocks

Utah’s Miles has never blocked more than 17 shots in a season, but he’s already rejected 11 this season. Another way of putting that: Miles has blocked about 2 percent of all opponent shots during his time on the floor, more than double his block rate from any previous season.

How good is that? Miles, who is listed at 6-foot-6, is one of just seven players listed at 6-7 or shorter with a block rate above 2 percent, according to Basketball-Reference.

This probably won’t last, but it’s a fun nugget, and it comes in a season in which Miles has been more active than ever in just about every facet of the game.

Good grief. More nonsense babble. "7 players a certain height with a block rate above 2 percent....." This is nuts! Now Clank the Clown is apparently a great shot blocker....for his height that is. Talk about looking for a needle in a hay stack. Turn overs, missed his shots again, and a grand total of 1 rebound in 20 minutes. But wow! He made a block and he is only 6 foot 6. Go Clown!

The amount of hate that comes from Rainhut is ridiculous. CJ Miles is finally contributing in ways other than scoring on a consistent basis and he fails to give credit.

I've been critical of Miles but even I'll concede he's justifying some minutes by doing things other than shooting. In past seasons if his shot wasn't falling he'd be totally worthless.

I still cringe at his shot selection though.

CJ Miles should have a goal every night. For every 3 point shot he takes he as to get to the free throw line twice. He would become way more efficient and his game would open up more and his confidence would go up if he is hitting free throws.

He is a good slasher somebody just needs to remind him every time out. lol

Like what? Being funny when he looses the ball and pulls faces and pouts? Or is he contributing by not rebounding or not making assists, or by not running back on defense after he makes a mistake. You think that by constantly playing the hate card it will make people feel sorry for him and that will help. It doesn't. You make him seem like a little spoiled brat. YOU HATE ME! How many kids with his opportunity would show up just one season in shape and practice the fundamentals?

I don't care if he made some shots tonight, I still can't stand him. I was in the lower bowl this game and got to watch him up close. Without a doubt, he is the laziest player on the floor. His ONE assist was an accident, and he was chucking like the ball was burning his hands.

I really have no idea what you're seeing. CJ definitely struggled tonight with his shot. But he had several drives where he dished to open guys who missed shots. Some of those missed shots resulted in baskets. None of that goes down as an assist. But anyone watching can see that he's facilitating the offense. You need to focus less on who you think CJ is as a person and focus more on who he is as a basketball player. Believe it or not, he actually does good things on the floor every night that helps us win.

Whoa... I actually like C.J. as a person. I have zero beef with him off the court -- in fact, I'd love to play Halo with him or watch him get plowed off three beers, that'd be awesome. My beef with him is his ON COURT persona, it blows major giraffe balls.

Just like some people hate AK and I would defend him to the bitter end, some of you love C.J. and would take a verbal bullet for him. That's fine, I get it. (you're retarded and should take Vinyl's advice: log out of your life)

Miles can NEVER have a bad game. He is just incapable of it.

Meanwhile Bell shot just 4-10. Bench his *** and start Miles. Stupid Sloan can't even see that Bell is being outplayed by Miles in just about every department.

He has them from time to time. But when he does guys like trout and Rainhut are in here making sure everybody knows he did. Even when he plays well they are in here blindly ripping on him.

This was a bad game for CJ. At least shooting wise. He had a ton of open looks and they were not falling. usually when he has a bad shooting night it's due to a few or more questionable shots, or end of the shot clock shots. Tonight they were mostly open and good looks and did not fall. Still 2-6 from 3's not bad, but with how open he was you would hope that more than that would fall.

They have'nt been falling in 3 out of last 4 games in case you bothered to notice. 2-7, 1-7, and 2-9 in 3 of the previous 4 games.

But just give him another week. He is Ray Allen'esque in his ability to snap out of shooting slumps. His impressive 39% FG for the season says it all. With shooting like that the Lakers must be really afraid of us in the playoffs.

Jazz must trade Raja Bell for a defensive center and makes Miles the starter
