Corbin hates Kanter?

Kanter defensive shortcomings are overstated because RJ, Burke and Burks lose their man all the time. There is always an highway in the mid-post!

I'd like to see more of the Gobert Kanter combo. Maybe they are both so raw it would be real ugly. Maybe the nba has changed so much that a 2 big front is impossible, and maybe the jazz would lose all the games but nothing much else is intriguing for the rest of the season so I want to see it.

I don't think Corbin hates anyone, yet.

Agreed its worth a try. They are extreme opposites of each other which is exactly what you want if you have two big men on the court. While Favors is the best big from an individual standpoint, he might not be from a team standpoint.

Stupidest stat ever.

Stupidest post.

The only reason Kanter has guarded a pg all year is because Trey can't contain his man, so Kanter rotates to help him. If Corbin played Kanter and Favors together, then Favors would rotate and Kanter would either stay with his man, or rotate to Favors', but then there'd probably still be a whole in the defense because our wings don't rotate; so I imagine you'd blame that on Kanter too.

Average centers go off on Kanter? Well, Kanter is a PF who needs to play positional defense like Dirk, Griffin, Aldridge, Love, etc do. Corbin should know this. Average centers go off on Favors pretty often too.

1-24 because when he starts the team was injured. Favors was 1-15 too, but Favors got to keep his starting gig when Trey, Marvin and Jeremy came back. The other starts Kanter has gotten since then have mostly been without Favors. Kanter has missed one game this year, so calculating his absence is impossible. I guarantee that no Kanter would be just as catastrophic.

I swear, 1-24 stat is the one that epitomizes the stupidity of some of our media/fans.

Kanter is not, and never will be a shot blocker. Favors is not and most likely never will be a great offensive player. The coaches have two complimentary bigs, but they are too stupid to learn how to make it work together. They keep trying to make each of them be something they're not yet, and then cite those reasons for why they can't play together.

It's a scapegoat propaganda and I cannot believe some posters here hang onto it like Corbin himself! Or Matt Harpring.

I think Corbin is frustrated with Kanter. He rolls the wrong ways off of picks, he over commits on defense and runs into pgs and causes silly fouls. He doesn't know how to guard players with length and average centers go off on him, etc. Kanters lack of basketball experience is still hurting him. You can tell he works hard by developing his shot and his offense, but his defense is light years away from where it needs to be. There is a reason we are 1-24 when he starts.
stupid diligence displayed only for a young player tho the whole team is in a chaotic situation in terms of coaching (or lack thereof).
Kanter is definitely better than you try to make him look like here.
why are you doing that BTW?
a personal crusade?
whatever the motive;
Anybody who fails to see the porous defence (poor oxymoron attempt) by the guards and forwards of the current jazz roster should look again.

to sum up: I am sick and tired of you guys' bickering about a fine fella who displayed willingness to get better and a goofy, happy-go-lucky enthusiasm to be the best teammate he may be!
enjoy it while you can, too!

Scenario:
1. Kanter is traded.
2. Corbin gets a new contract.

Question:
How many of us become "ex-Jazzfanz'ers?"

Scenario 3:
1. We keep Kanter and Corbin isn't renewed.

From latest Dennis Lindsey interview w/ 1280, it sounds like he is not phased by Kanter's defensive struggles in this system/team as it is constructed. He knows what Kanter's strengths are, and he is high on them.

But to answer your "what if's", I am a Jazz man through and through. Never rooted for another team, and never will. My fandom has been inherited. If Corbin is renewed, I will be pissed, but I won't switch my allegiance, and the same goes for if Kanter was traded. I will view both as huge mistakes. To be honest, my Kanter homerism really isn't homerism. I know the dude makes a lot of mistakes, and has a lot of room to grow. I just see him as our best player with a chance of becoming an all-star, but think the way he is being used/coached/treated by the media and Jazz staff is doing him and our team a disservice.

Kanter is already a goner, at least in his mind he is done with Jazz.
He has given enuff of hints about this in interviews in Turkish.
That said, after he is gone; I will be around uttering insults at those pseudo Jazzfanz with a better-than-thou attitude.
In real life I am not above and beyond using my fists to settle disagreements, yes, I am that immature!

I think Kanter may be a keeper but if he leaves at least the board will be done with an endless array of people whining in his behalf.

Kanter has clear holes in his game but I believe he can be a fantastic piece for this club. I am still very high on him.

He is gifted, no doubt. He also appears to be dumb as a rock which is why I see him as a poor mans al Jefferson. Type of dude that puts up stats, but never wins you games. Been there done that. I just don't see how he fixes dumb.

I don't see him as dumb. I see him as uneducated. I guess our difference is that I think he will increase his BBIQ and you do not (or not enough anyways). Correct?

You, a fan, believe a third year pro who is uneducated? Please do explain.

Kanter got a late start to proffesional BB. His BBIQ is not at a level that we would like. I see that more as a result of his late start to BB and then missing out at UK than an issue of him being smart or dumb. I think those two things has delayed his learning curve on BB. So over time as he gets more experience and ages his BBIQ will go up.

Your implication that a fan cannot have a BBIQ greater than a player is foolish. Am I that fan? Hardly. But there are fans out there that show exceptonal BBIQ and players that show horrible BBIQ.
