They're not baaaad, they're average or above average.


Kanter on the other hand is baaaad. He's too short/can't jump high enough to alter shots at the C position. On the flip side, he's wayyyy too slow on his feet to chase around and defend the PF position.


He has to make a decision and pick a position to guard, imo. If I were him, I'd try to lose 20lbs and work on those nimble feet to guard PFs. He just doesn't have enough length/jumping ability to guard C's.

I can't trust your scouting anymore. Jefferson an above average defender? Not even close. Marvin and Favors at least have flashes but Jefferson just hides every game.

Kanter is 6ft 11 with shoes on. he has an average height for a center.

standing reach
kanter - 9ft 1 1/2
drummond - 9ft 1 1/2 (same exact height)
noah - 8ft 10 1/2 ( 3/4 inch taller than kanter)


kanter can't play center not because of his size, but he just doesn't have nastiness in him. you gotta have some pitbull in you unless you are an athlete like dwight. and his reaction time seems to be slow. just doesn't have that instinct you are looking for in a center.

but he did put up good athletic numbers. kanter to me is a classic workout warrior. i was salivating at his size, good athleticism, and his raw potential. but he just can't put it all together. so frustrating to watch him. but i'm not giving up on a 21 year old kid yet.

Jazz have terrible defense at both forward spots. Favors is the least of my worries as far as defense goes. He could be a little less of a ***** though. He's way too finesse of a finisher for such a large dude.
