Where is that pit bull thread when I need it?

I just went through the entire 34 pages of Salty's epic troll, so I don't want to read this one. Suffice it to say, I hate pit bulls and would like to see them shot in the head. Since I don't have to be politically correct anymore, I say shoot 'em all. In the face.

Yes the criteria is:

1) Capable of acting without the intervention of a human being
2) Capable, under their own power, of maiming or killing a human being
3) Documented cases of said object doing exactly 1 and 2, repeatedly, regardless of human being intervention
4) Designed and bred with the ability and temperament to do 1, 2

So let's consider the following:

Knives:

1) Cannot act on their own - NO
2) Cannot kill under their own power - NO
3) Google knows of no such cases of a knife killing someone under its own power - NO
4) Designed for a variety of valid purposes besides killing - NO

Guns:

1) Cannot act under their own power - NO
2) Cannot kill without someone wielding it in some way - NO
3) Google knows of no such cases of a gun spontaneously going off with no human intervention and killing someone - NO
4) Designed for a variety of purposes besides killing - NO (but arguable)

Pit Bulls

1) Fully capable of acting on instinct alone - YES
2) Fully capable of killing even full grown adult humans - YES
3) Many documented cases of 1 and 2 happening - YES
4) Specifically bred to fight, with instincts to attack and kill with no warning - YES

So the only thing that fits all the criteria is a pit bull.

So do what trout said. Or at least prosecute the owners when something does happen and charge them with the crime as if they had committed it themselves. But really, do what trout said.




By the way, know what else fits the criteria?

Human Being

1) Fully capable of acting on their own - YES
2) Fully capable of killing another human being with their bare hands - YES
3) Many documented cases of 1 and 2 - YES
4) Some would say natural selection has made humans the perfect killing machine - YES
 
I can immediately name 4 people I'd ban from life. No joke. no one here obviously. We need a night like "the purge". Just one.
 
We are allowed to have guns, but we can't legally own Uzi's with 500 round banana clips. We can't own rocket launchers. We can't own bazookas. We can't own cannons.

Why not?!

Because they are insanely dangerous and no matter how "good of an owner" you are, the next time you accidentally blow up your neighbors house, it will be for no other reason than you have a super dangerous weapon.

Pits are the same. This is not a slippery slope. This isn't a question of "where does it end". This isn't the government telling you what you can or can't own/do. Pits are the animal version of a grenade launcher.


Shoot them ALL in the head.

You can own a bazooka or rocket launcher. They are just heavily regulated.

Looks like Im on the opposite Side of dutchjazzer and Stoked, which obviously makes me feel good, but Im on the same Side as troutbum, which troubles me greatly.

i dont like zoo's its cruel to the animals.

it is almost like prison.

As long as the side you're on is he correct, it shouldn't matter who else is there. I say this knowing that Thriller and Conan are often on my side. /shudder

According to his post the dogs should be banned instead of guns and knives because of 4 issues. He also states that humans are also capable of those 4 issues.

Maybe we should just eradicate all of the animals in the world that are a threat to humans. Pretty much have anyway why not just complete the deal.

As far as the dogs go. I'm not a fan of Pitbull's but have know some very good dogs that were breeds that people hate, including Pitbull's and Rottweiler's. I just have a hard time with a lazy solution like killing them all because some are bad.

As far as the grammar police I just don't care. It's not necessarily lazy (though I absolutely can be) just a complete indifference to the issue. Besides it's a little funny to me that it bugs people on here. And if I can annoy people without even trying it is even more funny.
