Following potential 2014 draftees

I don't think anyone outside the top 4 will be. I mean, there's always a chance that someone could surpass expectations... but no, not really.

Who would you consider to be game-changing franchise players?

I'm just playing devil's advocate here guys... trying to find that 1 guy outside of top 7 that could be a game changing franchise player ala Paul Gorge, Ginobili, Parket, etc. ... instead of going through the motion with Gordon, Vonleh and Smart.

I'm saying it's time we dig a big deeper and find that diamond in the rough.

Ginobili? Really? When you say franchise changer, I think of the best player on a contender.

How many game changing players are in the league right now?
Lebron and Durant may be the only two right now.
Kobe's no longer on that list. His game changing days may be over.
There does not seem to any on the horizon either.
Are the days of the game changing player over?
With no game changers out there how does a team build a contender?
Does a team need the #1 pick to push them over the top?

Would you care to name any players?

Go deep Nickkkkk, go deep.

There a lot of game changing players in the NBA.

Lebron is just the most consistent and dominant of them all.

Aldridge is a "game changer". Clearly he has the ability to take over and win any game, but he just doesn't do it all the time. Same with Lillard/Harden/Curry/etc.

They cease to be diamonds in the rough if you pick them way higher than they are projected. They just become a high-risk lottery pick

We'll have to wait and see at the Combine and the workouts as to who jumps out. I remember Kenneth Faried really jumped out during the Combine and Paul George during the workouts.

As it stands 5/6 I'd definitely go Randle/Gordon as potential game changers... At #7 and beyond I'll have to wait for more info/data to come to light.

Not if it's unexpected - ala the Bennett pick last year. Had he tore up the league, it would have been a diamond in the rough type pick even though he was picked #1.

If there is such thing as a shot-blocking, stretch big, sign me the **** up. If Porzingis or Austin is that guy, you absolutely look into getting that, even if they don't give you much else. I'm not sure that there is one of those in the NBA, and the last one I can think of would be 'Sheed.

Great point.

This.

There are probably over 20 game changers.
