What's new

A trade is brewing...

Burke and 23 wouldn't do it. Favors posted the best PER on the team this year, and he is the only one on a multi year non rookie scale deal (and it's at a steal!), so they'd want Favors, 23, and probably Burke as well. Would you do that?

If we had a top-4 pick + theirs ended up #6/#7, yes.
Burke is not a franchise PG and Favors is not a franchise PF/C. They're expendable.

Favors, Burke, and the #23 for the Lakers' pick?

Whoa!

Is Jerry West our GM now?

All of that for... Randle, Gordon, or Vonleh?

I'm not sure if it's worth it

WE have depth, but not stars. It's a lot to give up, obviously taking a swing for the fences.

Embiid
Vonleh
Hayward
Burks
FA PG (or trade)/Neto
(I would try to trade Kanter for a PG + other assets).

Alternately, draft Exum, Wiggins or Parker depending on where the pick falls. And then there are different trade scenarios to fill the hole the Jazz would have at one position.

I just don't see Favors as an all-star PF/C or Burke as anything but a mid-tier PG.

Ya, its too much.

I would do one player and the pick but not two players and the pick.

If they want more than favors and 23 then **** em

The "veteran" talk is quickly shot down once you ask people to start naming names. There are players in this draft that could be all stars at 23. I'm not trading it for someone like Thaddeus Young.

Yep

Kanter, Burke and #23 for #6 and next years first? Draft Exum/Vonleh, Smart/Randle, Gordon/Embiid, Parker/Smart. Tons of possibilites 2 top 7 picks.

I think that is a pretty fair trade for both teams.

Wish we really knew what we had in kanter but getting extra wins this past season was just too critical

Only way I'm trading Favors is for a top 4 pick. Dude is 22, athletically-gifted, not injury prone, and he's improved every year. Package him with Burke and another 1st rounder? Ridiculous.

This.

This thread was a terrible read.

I guess I'm the only one who likes our core still.

Could be. The Jazz brass have made it clear that no one is untouchable and getting a franchise player is the goal.

Everyone is available for the right pieces.

I'm down or trading anyone if it gets us Wiggins or something. But people in this thread are talking about trading half our core for...Randle?
