Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

Yup, I'm seeing the pattern here. Wonder if we could all just agree to disagree and close this particular thread? It's making the place tedious.

How about just not opening the thread? Oh my gaarsh! This thread better not be closed. More entertaining than 95% of the other mundane garbage that is posted in the Jazz section.

The microanalysis of CJ continues. I wonder one thing, though. Do the CJ haters realize how good he plays when he's on? I get the consistency complaints. But when a player's good nights are spectacular as opposed to just really good, I'm inclined to give the guy latitude. When CJ is on he's a flat out force. The kid has serious talent. The irony is, at 23, if he hadn't been here since he was 18 everyone would think he invented sliced bread. So goes the CJ chronicles.

What do you mean by when he's on? How I would explain it is the guy hangs out 5 feet outside the 3 point arc and steps up to take wide open, uncontested shots where he has more than enough time to get his feet set and shoulders square. As a professional, he should make a high % of those shots with consistency expectations. He doesn't. What's the excuse for missing wide open looks? Guys tend to miss more when they're rushing and less when they're wide open. That's kind of a main point of the game.

If all it takes is hanging out five feet outside the arc, where nobody is going to pay any attention to you, and step up when the timing is right--after D-Will breaks the D down with his magic--then go after someone else. Hell, Peja could still fill that role. CJ's magical shooting games are nothing more than D-Will spoon fed. His other areas are where I'd focus my praises.

Does anyone remember two years ago when Troy made the thread about Brewer being the worst player on the team, then Brewer had his really good 2nd half of the season where he was averaging 16 points and 5 rebounds, and actually hitting his jumpshot? This reminds me of that. A blind hater fails to see the importance of a role player and over examines his flaws and fails to see his contribution.

Another blind hater. Will this thread never end?

This thread has more pages than your combined post totals. Input taken and given the proper weighting.

I think at this point, the Jazz are willing to put up with CJ's inconsistency. He really is our only scorer off the bench until Okur comes back. Do you think CJ's inconsistency would level out if he was a starter?

I'm guessing he's on the Minnesota boards trying to convince them that Koufos is better than Beasley.

Some people have lives. The longest and loudest talkers usually have the least of value to say.

Ahh, got it. You read through a 22 page thread to tell us you have a life, to throw out a couple cliches, and to insinuate that nuances are less preferable to personal biases. Got it. Let's all ride dinosaurs and hunt with spears while screaming about others having discussions they find meaningful like it should really matter what they do.

Ugg, erggg, burp. He stupid hater. Better?

CJ has gone 35 for 92 (38%) since the 14th of December. He's only 23 and already going down hill. Time to trade him.

Ah yes, small sample sizes and completely arbitrary dates to try and aid your argument. You might have a job as David Locke's replacement.
