I cannot believe this. I don't want to believe this. They have the best young roster in their hands, if not, one of the best, and the only thing they need is an experienced not too old coach that has offensive and defensive systems on his mind, but they still go for the inexperienced.


Goddamnit at least try a Euro coach for once! If you don't become a team like Spurs in a few years, then at least you can say we've tried that method.

What have any of the other candidates done beyond creating a good name for themselves as assistants? Gentry is the only candidate the Jazz are interviewing who's ever won a playoff series - as he took the Suns to the WCF a few years ago. Let's be honest, the names being tossed around all have some huge negatives.

It's 100% guaranteed we won't win **** under Gentry!! Yes, his offense is fun to watch, but his teams don't play a lick of defense, and this team as constructed isn't going to just out score anyone. He is a flawed coach, and I'd rather take my chances with the unknown then have no chance at contending.

Apostrophes indicate possessives, not plurals. As Doubldea suggested, kkk must want us to interview something that belongs to Van Gundy, but we don't know what.
 
While I thought Gentry did a good job with the Suns, I am not a fan of his from his days as the HC in Los Angeles or Detroit. I would rather give Adrian Griffin a chance to be a great head coach than for the Jazz to tread water with Gentry.
 
This has probably been said but I didn't take the time to read 88 pages of posts so I will say it myself. All of this "coach search" is just the Jazz FO biding time until the Spurs finish the playoffs so they can make the Boylen hire... book it.

I think Griffin is the choice. That's who I would pick out of the 3.


Griffin is the new head coach of the Jazz.

Pray he learned a lot from Thibs.

Cute over-reaction! Obviously, I wan't insulting you personally, but was expressing disgust toward Boylen potentially becoming the Jazz's head coach. Whatever, it's all good.
