Yeah, and getting out of one of the toughest groups at that.
I'm not satisfied yet tho. Hoping for the quarters.
Insanely bad officiating.
I'd make a Portugese dish tonight to celebrate the day, but I have no clue what their cuisine is.
Well done by the US, even though they lost. They totally deserved to advance.
Will the US advance to the Quarterfinals??...

Damn he is suckingCan any one tell what the hell happened the Bradley??
If America is able to beat Belgium then this will have been a wildly successful World Cup instead of just a good one like it is now.
How good is Belgium? What are our chances?
Well, that sucked. We got out there late, then it was all of a sudden a total downpour, so we hopped in some taxis and headed for Potsdamer Platz, where it is partially covered and supposed to have a large screen, which was on a loop showing the inside of the structure we were in, so we watched the 2nd half in a super-crowded bar.
So help me understand, see if I got this right. The US just flat out sucks, right? I mean that or the Germans are just flat out dominant. It seemed like 90% of the entire game was played within 30 meters of the US goal. The Germans had so many good looks at the goal it was just a matter of time before one went in. I was surprised they only scored 1, to be honest.
And in soccer fan terms, was this an exciting game? The Germans love beating the Americans at anything so to listen to the crowd it was a seriously exciting game for Germany. I still just can't see it. Meh, not everything is for everyone.
But I didn't fall asleep, standing there watching the buxom bar maid in the low-cut tight fitting outfit draw beers and bounce around behind the bar all night. That was way more entertaining than the game.
Wasn't a game for people who don't watch football regularly. Two very good defensive teams eliminated themselves for 90 minutes. Germany had some good pass sequences that could have resulted in very good shots, but a lot of times timing was totally off, a misunderstanding happened on the final pass or a defender intercepted it last second.
The USA tried counters but Germany's defense was way better most of the night compared to their first two games, especially the addition of Schweinsteiger and a good performance by Lahm helped. Also weren't afraid to use tactical fouls to disarm counters.
USA and didn't manage to get a lot of corners and free kicks. Think they would have liked having that option.
They beat us last time we played 4-2How good is Belgium? What are our chances?
Anyway, so did you view this game as a fairly close one? From someone not used to soccer it seemed to be more in Germany's favor the whole game, but maybe there are things I was missing.
Thanks for the response that helps a lot. Too bad there are those on the site that put themselves above everyone else and never have anything constructive to say besides lololol and lulz and other tired "look how with it I am" catchphrases. It's hard to pretend to be 20 all the time I imagine. Even the tards need their mascots I guess.

In the next round, what happens if the game ends in a tie? Is it first an overtime period and then a shoot-out?
