Now I just had to look up the booze laws in Utah. They were actually very similar to the ones we have in Norway, so I`d take the max and move to the city of Utah at once.
Lol. Thriller go spend sometime in the south, Dakotas and New England then get back to us.
Utah for sure has it's quirks and uniqueness. But so does everywhere else.
Better than the dictatorship we have in California.Been to New England, it's not weird.
Never been to the south. But from what I've read/heard many parts are still 200 years behind the rest of the country.
But none are as weird as utah. Utah is the closest thing you'll find to a theocracy in the country.

Whatever the dems want, they get. There is only one viable party in the state.Huh? What dictatorship?

Is Utah weirder than Idaho?
IF I had a choice, I'd probably move to Texas. Wife and I have discussed it. But don't worry...I won't desert the Jazz and become a Rocket, Mav or Spurs fan. And I DETEST the Cowboys.
I'd ban you for life if you did.

LeBron on a young Utah team. I think we are stages ahead of any Cav team constructed back when Bron was there. You think he'd say no, but all it takes is adding LeBron and this is a guaranteed 55 win team. A young team that will run opponents out of Utah night in and night out. The ESA louder than 1997.. LeBron would have a sold out ESA ever night.
You can wake up now! Lebron doesn't want to be on a rebuilding team no matter how talented you think they are. Beside I don't Lebron wants to play in the West considering how tough it is to just make the playoffs and get to the Finals. In the East, right now he basically has to worry about Indy and maybe Chicago if Rose could stay healthy which is a BIG IF.
Arnold was not really a Republican. He ran as one to get elected and we bought it. But he was a Kennedy, 100%. CA has been tax and spend for two decades. The comment about CA, I lived there twenty years and I don't know what you are talking about it being run as a dictatorship. The state has both republicans and democrats lead the state, I guess right now if you are a republican you don't like it but me personally, it is my favorite state even with it being over crowded and costly. You just can't beat the weather. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, but that is ok because there are 49 other states to choose from (all have good things to enjoy).
Back on topic, there is no way that Lebron would come to Utah, unless the Jazz could clone Stockton and Malone in their prime and even that might not be enough. As our team is right now I doubt Lebron wants to be on a rebuilding team. Now there is a rumor that Lebron might sign a two year deal which would be great if the Jazz team is more developed then the chances might increase. However, I don't see any realistic scenario which has Lebron landing in Utah.
Lol and who da hell ah you? (Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) LeBron James brain? His agent? You're a keyboard warrior, that's who you are. You dont know anything about LeBron.
Weird is a perception. It matters little to me if Utah is considered weird by others.
Utah is only weird in terms of liquor laws.
It's not just Utah's booze laws. Look at the culture man! The culture!
Outside of park city, you have one of the strangest cultures on earth. It's the closest thing you'll ever get to a theocracy here in America.
Folks who get all defensive about Utah's weirdness need to take off the Mormon glasses.
And this is coming from an active returned missionary Mormon.
I know of a black administrator at a school. A mom came in to meet to discuss her son. Upon entering his office she reached out to touch his beard. She hadn't ever met a black person before. This is a 35 year old woman.
The culture. The culture is just so weird. Zero diversity and a ultra conservative political leaning has merged with religion.
It's weird man, just weird.
If you can't see this then there's nothing left to say. I'm sorry.
I grew up in Utah being an Italian/Catholic, I am very faithful to my Catholic religion. I live in Las Vegas. You call Utah weird? I just went to the gas station to buy a bottle of Vodka and there was a meth'd out hooker threatening to kill the gas station clerk because he wouldn't refund her for a box of cereal that she bought at a completely different store. I go to the sports book to watch a game and I see hookers everywhere accepting money for sex. Last week I was driving on 2-15 and was caught in the middle of a high speed chase with my 3 year old daughter in the back seat of my car. I am here because of my career and the money. I would chose Utah's very nice but closed minded Mormons over the Las Vegas drug addicts and crack whores any day of the week.
Frankly to most people outside of the state, Utah is really a non-issue. Most people know less than nothing about it. In fact Exum and his comment about the city of Utah sums up probably 90% of the country in terms of their thoughts about Utah at all. People getting all worked up over nothing.
