I know it's not in the American nature to celebrate anything but first place, but the US getting out of the group stage in 3 of the last 4 World Cups is a huge achievement for a country where soccer is a 2nd/3rd rate sport. I don't care what happens Tuesday (well that's not totally true, I want them to win) since I believe they already have played a really good World Cup this go around.

Agreed on Colombia, they look terrific. If the game stays pure and without any referee interference, I see them beating Brazil.Thx for your vote of confidence.
My semi finalists are Netherlands, Columbia, Argentina, Germany in that order of perceived strength.

Indeed. And the worst thing is, it's just like the way it's in Basketball. The home teams getting favorable calls is accepted like it's fair and normal. Whereas the home teams already have the spectator and atmosphere advantage.I think Colombia looks a lot better than Brazil too, but that referee interference thing you mentioned...

Keepers have to be fairly explosive to make tough saves. Positioning and reflexes only get you so far.
5 down, 2 to go!
I wanted to do Germany to beat Argentina in the final at 38:1. I will cry if that happens.
Is stuff going to burn in the streets if you guys lose?
I am playing a tournament with my friends and that is the final that I picked. Looking really great right now, Silva and Neymar are out against Germany.
