Marvin Williams 2 years 14 mill to the hornets

And last, here's an 8/19/13 beantown thread asking who will be the first big guy off the bench (Biedrins or Gobert). One thing I was wrong about with Biedrins, but the rest is/was pretty dead-on, just with Williams:

Could very well be Kanter. As I've said before, don't discount one or both of Jefferson and Biedrins starting. I remain very skeptical about Corbin starting 'two rookies' (a problem he created) in the front court. Despite us going with the 'youth movement,' it's a huge pride pill to swallow to take every guy that Corbin hid on the bench last year and insert them into a starting lineup. Kanter played 15 mpg last year. I expect about a 40% chance Biedrins starts and 80% chance Jefferson starts. The other guys will get minutes by default, so if they're not starting it's bit like anyone can tell Corbin they're not getting minutes. Starting Biedrins gives him an opportunity to protect his pride in a win-win situation where he plays guys minutes and gets the fanbase/management off his back and also gets the satisfaction of feeling he's still in charge. Don't mean to rain on the parade but just prepping for the inevitable suicidal ideations coming this November.

Burke
Hayward
Jefferson
Favors
Biedrins

Here's a thread from 7/26/13 where people are erroneously arguing about whether Burks or Rush will start.

The Core4's response to the above:

Bottom line: yes, a lot of the board, despite all obvious sense, thought Jefferson would be relegated to the end of the bench. But there were more than just a handful of people who thought he'd play quite a bit, if not start.
Funny that you said you would be ok with jeffy starting

I was, mostly because I didn't/don't see Corbin with the mental capacity to place Hayward at the 2 without something forcing his hand. Also because of a tank, which wasn't as solidified then. The idea that Jefferson would play and start was not unprecedented or something that nobody could have predicted, which I'd assume you're now acknowledging.

Gross.

Cool. Glad he found some work.

If I get some time I'll have to dig up some old posts. Everyone knew they were both trash. Corbin's track record includes giving heavy minutes to a guy who's previous stint was with the Harlem Globetrotters (Bell), mindlessly playing Josh Howard after an injury, not allowing Kanter or Burks to ever hit the floor, etc. the writing was on the wall. I stated Jefferson would start and that there was at least a 25% chance Biedrins started. I was off on the last one as he never played. But this was not a crazy prediction. I was amazed that there were even more than a handful of people who thought Jefferson would be sitting on the bench.

I remember all the radicals who thought Biedrins would start.

I actually don't remember many, if any, other than myself. Could be wrong, though.

Yeah I don't remember many either. I think Franky is just trying to stir the JF pot.
