What's new

Gobert, Exum, Burke excited about Quin Snyder's new offense...

First we have the Snyder quote in FIXED's sig that's an old Corbin play (There's a Favors .gif I made of it floating around here somewhere) and now we have Gobert preaching the French Liberation Front. I guess we can say goodbye to hopes of running a highly efficient Spurs style offense?

"Dump it down to AL" was the best play in basketball history. :( I give Corbin credit for that.

I agree have a system that uses our players strengths. They are good at not thinking or running plays or rotating on defense. Forget trying to have them be professional, remember stuff or run a play. Let them not think and do whatever naturally happens. This is a recipe for 115 pts a game an a D that holds opponents to 90.

Chompionchip here we come!

Damn man, you ok, let buy you a drink one of these nights. You can let it all out....

I would love to make it to the western conference finals while being the most entertaining team in the league

Seriously though. It's near impossible to win a title, I just want a competitive team, that gets respect and is fun to watch. Which of course would have a chance to win a title hopefully...

Anything will likely be better than last season.

Maybe they match Hayward because they feel he will easily be a 20,5,5 player in this offense? He becomes that Manu Ginobli-type player and lives up to that deal.

I've always thought Manu was a good comp for Gordo's upside.

If our goal is to win championships, why the hell do we want to be like D'Antoni's suns?? Good regular season team, but that style didn't work in the playoffs at all.

championship? puahahaha. i'm not even gonna hope for such thing. just gimme something fun to watch. my expection - super low.

Quin Snyder has engineered more successful inbound plays in two summer league games than Ty Corbin did in 3 seasons.

Favors, Kanter, Hayward, Burks, Burke and Evans back from last year. Gobert back - bigger, stronger and meaner.

Exum, Hood, Booker and Novak >>>>>>>>>> Jefferson, Williams, Biedrins, Rush and Garrett.

Quin Snyder >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ty Corbin.

This team got better this offseason by default. Not only addition by subtraction, but exponential improvement by adding Exum, Hood and Snyder. They may not make the playoffs, but they will be fun to watch.

What if Quin Snyder isn't good... Just that Corbin was so bad that we think he's amazing.

There is a life lesson here.... Look for someone who is terrible at what they are doing and replace them. Even if you are mediocre people will think you da boss!

Im gonna use this as the game thread if nobody makes one

I am stuck in enthrall with Snyder's offense. Has anyone else noticed the pseudo-pnr action on the weak side while they play triangle or double high pnr on the ball side? It's brilliant action that I haven't noticed across the league. I have a feeling Alec and Dante are going to get a bunch of back door dunks off of this, and a whole lot more wide open corner threes.

Just need some "making" guards. Got a bunch of shooters, but no makers, at least on a consistent basis.
WE might be looking at Burks, Hood and Hayward as starters if Ice Cold Trey continues to jack up bricks.
