Anyone reading this thread.. that may feel theyre at the end. Don't.

Do something crazy, but good. Come see me. No need of money. Let's do this new thing together.

So someone you love is living a life that brings them so much pain death is preferable. How long do you want to condemn them to that life of pain just so you don't have to feel the pain of mourning?

Edit: to clarify this isn't aimed at anyone just a general question.

I'm not saying depression isn't a real disease because it is. There are many people who battle it and find the strength to go on. I have had loved ones and a very dear friend who was like a brother to me take their own life and the damage left behind is also immeasurable. If you're that low, continue to try to get help. It's his wife and loved ones that I would shed the tears for. They are the ones who deserve the tears because they are the ones left behind to wonder what they might have done, even if it's nothing. I am watching some good people battle for each and every day so I just can't work up the tears for someone who saw no way out. Sorry.

I lost my actual brother to suicide. I wish he had sought guidance or help from someone, and it was the easy way out. Does not mean it is appropriate to say **** em and call them a coward on the day they died.

Amen.

Ive never had those thoughts/feelings.. thank God... but I will never claim to understand those emotions or to call someone out for those feelings... I am certain they are real and not just selfish. Having said that... push through bros and sistas..... theres something better.. a reinvention if need be.

Would it matter if I wrote it a year from now? I say the same thing about Kurt Cobain, and it's been 20 years. Why gush about him just because he took his life today? Maybe my words were harsh, but that's how I feel about suicide. Talk to someone. Get help. Keep talking. Keep getting help. A friend of mine just told me that he disagreed with me because he was in a spot where suicide seemed to be the best way after his teenage daughter died from a heart disease. He pretty much made my point by saying that he fought through it and carried on. I truly sympathize with you as you know how it feels to have a loved one take their life, but I just can't feel sorry for the person who did the act.

No, it really is not appropriate at any time, but much worse the day of. Not saying you should gush if you do not likr the guy, but geez. And you were not in his shoes. You have no idea what was going on with him or ehat help he sought. Again, you lack tact. Your comments are a poor reflection on you, not on Robin Williams.

I'd hate to be the guy who called him to tell him his show got cancelled a few months back. You'd always wonder.

Exactly how feel

****ing hell this place is full of a bunch of estrogen pumped bitchasses. negs to anyone trolling YB and pos to those who have any semblance of humanity. You ****s are crying pity to those who chose the easy way out instead of rooting for them to find happiness? Give me a ****ing break.

Actually I have pity for depressed people, while also rooting for them to find happiness

To me pity is the wrong word. I would say compassion. The rest I agree with wholeheartedly.

You're trying too hard. You've been reading too many size/huge/boobs posts.

Dude basically told his daughter and any other family/friends that they weren't enough for him to stick it out. Killing yourself is never, absolutely never, the right decision. His choice will haunt his kids for the rest of their lives, that's who I feel bad for.

Huh?

There's a [HUGE] difference between sympathy for those who are depressed and enabling ********. You think telling mothers and fathers with depression that it's okay to end it because they are depressed is a good thing?

Sorry for being a dick but this is how I feel about coddling depressed people.
