What's new

2014 College Football

Hey uggs, what do you think about the jazz so far this year? Any players you have been impressed with? How do you think we will do this year?

*Giggles uncontrollably*

It's quite funny how much you people value a name and not actual performance. Or conference affiliation and not actual performance. I agree. They're 5-3 and they lost to Marshall(6-0), Minnesota(6-1), and a Memphis team that is (3-3) with two of their losses being UCLA by 7 and Ole Miss. They held UAB to 15 less points than UAB scored against Mississipi State. They won a shootout game against the #5 total offense in the country. They have a good offense. Good solid football team. I respect teams like that.

Middle Tenn >>>>>> Dak.

Yeah. When you struggle against Utah State, UCF, etc, you worry about Midd Tenn.

When you struggle against UCLA and OSU but win, you worry about a tough USC coming to your house.

Haha @ you acting like Oregon State is a good team. They're no better than any of those teams you mentioned above and that's fine because the 30-70 range in college football is very similar. A lot of parity.

Lol. Prior to the Utah game, OSU was 4-1, would have been ranked had they beaten Utah, and for my money, have one of the best QB prospects in the nation. They're not perfect, but they're a hell of a lot better than the teams you just lumped them in with. Nice try though.

Somehow beating a P5 team with a top 10 pick NFL QB on the road feels like quite the accomplishment when compared to losing to...Nevada? At home?

But the fact that they've lost to so many teams shows how good they are. Right?

After the Houston game, I think most saw BYU's defense would cause them problems all year long. Only delusional fans thought they were a great team. I knew no matter how good Taysom was, BYU would NEVER go undefeated.

Sums it up just about perfectly.

Yeah, and how has that QB looked without Brandin Cooks? #81 in total offense, that's how. OSU didn't even gain 200 yards against USC, and as I said at the time it would be nice to pretend that USC was just that good, but they're simply not. Oregon State is horrible this year. Oregon State beat (2-5) Hawaii by 8. Portland State(FCS team that is 2-5) by 15. Utah fans sure are a dense lot, huh?

That's okay. 5 more days until reality strikes.

Nevada beat somebody that a certain team didn't.....Washington State? Held them to 13 points, in fact. Is Utah familiar with them by chance?

How long of a posting hiatus are you going to take again during Utah's losing streak coming up like you did after Washington State?

Pitt lost to Akron but they beat Boston College, are you familiar with them by chance?

Am I doing it right?

Never heard of them. Are they from somewhere back East? East Anglia? What that game taught me was that USC is lucky they don't have the service acadmies on their schedule. Navy, Army, Air Force would all give USC a game this year. USC wants no part of the triple option this year. They will love Booker trying to run straight into the middle of their defense, however. Tailor made for that. So that's why I think you guys are going to get to waxed.

I don't even think USC should be ranked right now. Stanford has proven to be meh so that win isn't impressive. I don't think Arizona will end the year ranked either so we'll see what they really are in the weeks to come.

Arizona State and Notre Dame might be the only teams that are ranked at the end of the year on their schedule.
