2014 College Football

That offense sucks... Like a lot

If it weren't for booker, Utah just might as well keep their defense out on the field to play offense.

Sucks for Manning that his first college plays were in the middle of the rain and a blowout where there was still a smidgen of hope to come back I guess. He looked way slow making reads....which I thought was his strength in his highlight videos. If you're going to throw him in, it's got to be at the start of the game so he can warm up.

How long are the utes going to wait to get rid of thier offensive coordinator?

(Just kidding fellers)

How crazy is it that the Oklahoma running back broke Melvin Gordon's game rushing record the very next week? Blew my mind.

I don't know, it has been that kind of season offensively were I think that's a legit question. It all comes down to Whit to me. Either he hasn't let these guys stay long enough to put their systems in place and recruit specifically for the system or he's telling them to play a certain way/certain QBs. No way are all these coaches that have been a part of the carousel as similar as they seem.

Utah should hire Matt Wells before somebody else lures him out of state. And as bonus, they might be able to get Chuckie Keeton as a senior year transfer QB....which would be a coup if he is healthy enough.

LOL Ole Miss... makes that last game for St. so much more meaningful.

It means it's pretty much just Ole Miss's chance to spoil State's season, so yeah, still just as meaningful.

Both teams could be winless and it would still be a huge matchup both teams would get up for.

"Travis Wilson likes long walks on the beach, three and outs, and awkward smiles."

It all caught up with Utah yesterday. They've been able to get away with how bad Travis Wilson was until now. When a team has a good day against your defense, you have to be able to count on your offense to keep you in games. Obviously, Utah's offense cannot do that. A very thorough beating at the hands of Zona, congrats to them.

Hopefully Whittingham realizes he has nothing to lose with the Colorado and bowl game. Perfect time to put Manning and Cox at #1 and #2 on the depth chart and get a jump start on spring. Utah has a lot of talent coming back and could have some pretty nice seasons on the horizon, but not with Travis Wilson as QB.

Think we are just like Tom Hanks in cast away and stuck with Wilson till the end of the season. Stayed till the bitter end in the rain and when Manning came in he didn't look ready.

At least BYU blew out their cupcake opponent as expected. In other news, neither of my daughters had heard the term cupcake" in that context before. Odd, that.

And at least BYU has a good matchup against Cal this week. BYU's currently 47 on Sagarin and Cal is 54. https://sagarin.com/sports/cfsend.htm

That's not too bad. Independence is fine when your strength of schedule ends up 50 or above to me. Looks like their strength of schedule will end up in the 60's. 38 last year. And next year looks incredible on paper. Could be in the teens.

I agree with this. I think Whittingham is keeping Christensen on a leash/tying his hands. I hope that they drop the ultra conservative offense against Colorado.

I think next season is the one that finally sees Bronco sent packing. They seriously could start 0-4 with that schedule.

Bronco will pack when he decides. He's done too much for this program. Byu is easily one of the toughest jobs in the nation. Bronco is doing a fine job. Only idiots think Bronco has any heat put on him. Besides, who are you going to replace him with?

Unlike whitt, who should have his *** canned for his offensive offense. 6 qbs on roster and none of them could even start for Timpview or Bingham High School. You have a top 10 defense, NFL Rb, and one of the worst passing games in all of DIV 1 Football (again). How many years does this same record play? Give Leach this Utah team and resources and they'd be winning the PAC.
