Following potential 2015 draftees

So you want an reverse Paul George experiment.

I liked how Trey Lyles moves on offense and finds open space. That's an NBA talent ;)
Honestly don't know how good he is but what he showed in the minutes I watched vs Texas was kinda good.

It's not about what I want.. it's about what it seems the draft is giving us.

Yeah.. Lyles reminds me of a young Odom.

I think we will be selecting between 4 and 7.

Looking at those players, I hope some emerge.

Johnson or Winslow may be the best bet because we need defense and shooters (that are not defensive liabilities). All the offensive guys are pretty poor defenders.. so may as well take a guy that will defend and showing promise as a shooter.
I love the idea of Towns.

With that being said, this Jazz team is in desperate need of a true wing defender. Burke, Burks and Kanter are defensive liabilities. Bench them all.

If the Jazz had that true wing defender I bet we'd see a huge upswing in team defense. Get it through the draft, trade for it or buy it in FA. That should be priority #1.

Did I mention I like Towns?

Normally you don't draft a wing defender at the top of the draft. You can get those later or pick them up as inexpensive free agents, like Demarre Carroll.

See Johnson, Stanley or Winslow, Justice.

If you get a good one then it changes everything for your team. That's what this team needs.

If it comes down to Johnson VS Winslow who are you guys picking????

They seem really similar to me, but I'd take Stanley Johnson just seems like he has a bit of an edge on the offensive end. Seems like his stroke is a bit more reliable at the next level.

I'd take the more mobile and explosive athlete, which in this case is probably Winslow.

I am leaning towards Johnson, but I wasn't incredibly impressed yesterday when he played against relatively good competition. He was getting beat off the dribble a ton and his shot looked a bit shaky...

Stanley Johnson's athleticism looks pretty good at the NCAA level, but it might be just a touch above average, if that, in the NBA. He'd be a 6'7" SF similar to James Young or James Johnson. Maybe he's a defensive attack dog like Ron Artest or Andre Iguodala, but I'm not 100% certain that he is.

Carroll won't be an inexpensive free agent this time. He's a legit starter with 3PT range. I think we need to go after him...HARD! Have Snyder and Zanik give him a call at 12:00.01 and offer him a very sizable deal with a 2 minute window to accept (like Phoenix did with Raja). On the other phone, Lindsey calls Matthews and offers him a deal. First one to accept gets our money.

I think it's much easier to get a wing in free agency than a serviceable big. And it looks like there are some very good bigs in this draft, even if the Jazz don't get lucky and land Towns or Okafor.
