I was watching Vonleh quite a bit last year. I like Lyles more than Vonleh. Vonleh's reactions always looked a bit slow. Part of his appeal was his length and some rim protection on defense. Lyles is smoother, a better passer and looks to be more consistent shooter.
The future of the Jazz looks to be Exum - - Hayward - - Gobert.
If we filled in the blanks with Winslow and Favors, we'd be great defensively, but our shooting would be so-so.
If we filled in the blanks with Burks/Hood and Porzings/Lyles, we'd be good offensively, and our defense would be average or slightly above.
Kanter is good, but I don't think he is quite what we'll need to reach the next level.
I'd love to come out of this draft with a shiny new SG and a PF who can score and facilitate. I'm a fan of both Hezonja and Winslow at the SG, and I like both Porzingis and Lyles as PFs. This assumes we don't get in the top 3.
