Enes Kanter will start on Tuesday night against Golden State, Jazz coach Quin Snyder announced after the team’s morning shootaround.
Kanter missed four games because of an ankle injury. Coming off the bench, he returned Saturday night at Houston and finished with 16 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes.
In Kanter’s absence, Rudy Gobert moved into the starting lineup and played well, fueling speculation Kanter might continue in a backup role.
According to Snyder, however, he has a different philosophy.
"If you’re hurt, you don’t lose your job," Snyder explained. "If you’re hurt, you don’t have a chance to compete."
