Trade Idea!

Because I think Kanter has more value than Stauskus?

I think so too, but that's why I said we should get a little more from them. We should be able to snag a late first as well as Stauskas. But this is also about where their future value is. We have to look down the road a little.

What's more valuable in a couple years? Kanter making 16 mil a year as a back up, or Stauskas on a rookie deal?

I get that and agree.. and I missed the added 1st, my apologies. I like it more with a 1st.

Kanter and Cousins make no sense to pair together. I don't think he is someone the Kings want to pay.

That isn't for us to worry about. Let them make the mistake of pairing them together if they want.

Bad teams make bad decisions all the time. We should capitalize on it if we can.

They are better than us.. I would be easy on the "bad teams" thing (vs. us) until we prove otherwise.

Maybe he meant, bad ownership.

I know.. but still.. W/L's have to be taken into consideration when talking about "bad."

I think Sacramento has to prove they are a good team before we can give them credit for it. They are extremely average right now. And their most recent history they have been really bad.

No one wants to feel forced to pay a lot of money for Kanter this off-season.
My poor jazz are going to aren't they?

is that an indictment on Stauskus, or an endorsement of Enes?

Kanter and Cousins make no sense to pair together.
Kings have been searching for a pf for many years, and they very rarely take action that makes sense. I think it would be fun to watch Boogie and the Undertanker destroy other teams inside.

How about Enes for Patrick Patterson? He is #8 in the NBA in 3pt%. Definite stretch.

I'd love that trade, but I am not sure Toronto does it. They seem to really like Patterson. They are playing him about as much time as we are playing Kanter and that's on a contending team. Plus, he has 2 more years of his contract(after this one) at 5-6M, while they'd probably have to pay 10+ for Kanter in the summer.

I like Patterson a little bit too, but I think we should aim higher. Or at least get more back. I just think there is no upside there. He is what he is right? Even Kanter still has upside.

true.. but who??

Keep Kanter. I don't think any team will offer him a big contract.

We should be able to resign him for $10m or less which is pretty much what we should be paying for a solid PF off the bench.

Kanter for Stauskas and Derrick Williams works. Stauskas and Hood backing up the 2 and 3 with DWill being the 4th big behind Booker sounds ok.

Maybe not. He could do a Greg Monroe. It only takes 1 team though.
