Following potential 2015 draftees

Has anybody seen Kris Dunn from Providence? I saw Prividence vs Georgetown after I heard Sam Vecenie hype him in a podcast! Color me impressed! The kid can play! He's a 6'3'' PG, who is really quick and has some length(6'8'' wingspan from 2013, might be longer now). I loved his pnr play, I loved his passing and feel for the game, his handle seems pretty good as well... He passes and distributes the ball very well and he really tries to involve his teammates, great and unselfish in transition. He seems to be pretty athletic, too. His play is... somewhat flashy, for lack of a better description... He's a bit TO prone(looking at the stats), but I will have to watch more of him to see why that is and where most of his TOs occur. His shooting is work in progress but seems to have improved from last year and is shooting about 35% from 3 this year...

Oh... and he plays defense! Like... really plays defense!!! Very quick laterally, sticks with his man, plays the passing lanes and gets tons of steals with his long arms and pretty good number of blocks for a PG.

I think he has the chance to become this year's(or next year's if he doesn't declare for 2015 draft) Lillard/Payton(PG from small-ish program(not as small as Louisiana Lafayette or Weber State, but still) who jumps to the lottery after getting little recognition at the beginning of the year).

His stats this season: 15.3PPG(50% FG, 33% 3PFG, 67%FT), 7.5APG, 6RPG, 2.7SPG, 0.4BPG, 4.1TO

I have watched Kris Dunn for a few years now. My opinion is he rises to low competition and sinks against legit players/teams.
I think he's a good player, but too mentally weak to play against pros to go along with a loose handle.

His line against UK this year (I know, only one game..)

29 minutes
1-7 from the field for 6pts
6rbs
3asts
1stl
10 to's

He is also averaging more than 4to's/gm on the season against a schedule that only had one top20 team.

Yah, that's what I assumed... that he might have trouble against better competition. I'd still like to watch him against some better teams, cause... it's just one game.

I am not too concerned with TOs with young PGs, I kind of view it as part of the learning process. For example, Payton had 3.6TO/game last season against even worse competition and is doing relatively well now with NBA coaching(about 3 TO/36).

Also, you said you don't like his handle... I actually thought it was solid... I guess I will have to watch more of him for better assessment... I might be wrong...

He also thinks Kanter is going to get a "huge" deal in free agency, so...

Don't most people think Kanter will get a big deal in free agency? I mean, if not this offseason, then certainly the next offseason. With the cap going up, anybody who can play basketball is going to get a huge deal in free agency.

Yeah, this is the year dudes will get like 3 million more per year than they should.

I bet each of the next three years are like that. It also won't help if they decide to expand and add teams in seattle and somewhere else.

League expansion is probably at the bottom of the priority list. Need to make the bottom half of the league not suck complete *** first.

implament a full D-league where each tema is required to have it own d-league team that they completely control get rid of the lame rules about who can play there and expand the draft to 4 rounds. That way teams can use the draft to build their d-league teams

No one is going to want to play in the D-League unless they raise the salaries. D-League ain't going to be a srs farm system until that happens becasue no one wants to make 17K a year when they can make 6 figures overseas.

Well, it was about this stage of his career that Al Jefferson got a $12 - 14mm/year deal wasn't it? And the Jazz snatched Carlos Boozer from Cleveland with a 5-year deal at $60M? Kanter could get 4 years and $50M in today's market if a team is serious about him. But when Chad Ford says HUGE deal, that sounds like close to a max. I can't see that happening.
