^Locke pimping Kanter

Kanter ain't goin anywheres

I hope we are wrong on this, but it always seems like Locke does this kind of salesmanship for the team about the guys they are going to keep.

i think that Enes kanter will stay in utah , because we can only talk about enes's trade , look nba.com look yahoo.sport look other websites , no news about enes kanter's trade , i am sure that enes will stay ,
secondly everybody say that how can enes want to hayward's contract ? yes he can want because 2016 2017 season Lebron James will earn 40 millions dolar per year ,for this reason if enes kanter wants its normal
utah jazz given 50 millions $ for memo then memo was not star

result : Enes kanter will stay (i think)

Love your math. How do you get to $40M/yr for LBJ. He is still limited by the CBA, If the cap is $80M, he can earn about $28M/per (35% for a player with 10+ years). What Enes wants in no way correlates to his value right now. And for that reason, Utah will be happy to let Ergul go out and try to get that kind of money in free agency. If he does, I'll gladly eat my words. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's almost 90% certain Enes will want to just sign for the QO and then be a free agent in 2016.

IS that a good situation for Utah? Definitely not. Kanter will be even more selfish than he is now (he takes more shots per minute than even Trey!). A S&T is the best outcome for all since it's looking more and more likely no one is willing to give up significant assets for him before the deadline.

The Jazz are trying hard to get a deal done today. Kevin O'Connor is even in town to assist Dennis Lindsey.

:p

Steve Novak for a second round pick and cash considerations.

So they want to trade Kanter. Might not be able to so Locke is tamping down expectations

right?

I don't think Kanter is a bad player and should be moved for nothing--we don't have to move him whether he wants to bitch about playing time or not; he's restricted. BUT it's so condescending for Locke to try and tell us that the Favors/Gobert lineup isn't better. It's so obviously better and Gobert/Favors are so obviously the future lineup. The stats Locke is tweeting right now is absolutely ****ing meaningless and he knows it.

We should keep Kanter unless we get a good offer. But Rudy and Favors should be starting before the end of the season, like they'll start for the long term future of this franchise. Kanter can get his 28 minutes off the bench ;).

Kings traded for Andre Miller. George Karl Loves that dude. Prolly wants him to be an assistant after he retires this year too. They sent Ramon Sessions to Washington for him.

I am sure they will be able to trade him, they might not get as much as they want though. Hopefully they get a decent offer today.

Potential Enes Kanter suitors have been reluctant to give up as much as the Jazz have asked for the young big man.

Either teams give DL something worth a **** or ain't nothing gonna happen

Don't they have phone service in KOC's home town?

Great to hear they're calling in another asset who is well-respected around the league. I'm sure one of them is 100% focused on the Kanter situation while the other can make calls for minor deals (Novak, Evans, etc.). This is the sign of a really good organization, even if NOTHING happens.

Meanwhile, the Jazz' assistant GM just went to the vending machine to fetch the big dogs Diet Cokes and Doritos.

I would bet they have a "fallback" option that is the least they are willing to accept sitting out there. Probably just waiting to get more.

Good point. I wonder what other deals are on the table. They are probably going to need a backup center, at least someone who can play 10 minutes a night if Kanter is gone. Who else could we see being moved? Novak?

Come on Dennis, get us Thomas. Can you imagine Thomas replacing Burke as the 6th man? My God. That's would increase our offensive rating by like 6 points.

Random Thought: I think Andre Miller will have more coaching success than George Karl.

They probably want to move Novak for any expiring they can get just to clear his contract off the books for next season. Evans is another player they may want to move, just to do right by him. I'd like to see Jeremy at least get some playing time with another team. He's not a great fit in Quin's offense, but he does have value. Just a 2nd-rounder would get a deal done.

As for a backup 5, Favors can fill that role and they just increase Booker's minutes. Or they sign someone from the D-League. My guess is a Kanter trade would bring back a lesser big (just like they got Harris when Deron was traded).
