Friday Jazz VS Blazers 7pm MT

Everyone gets on Kanter because of his RPM. However Gobert was minus this game while LA was positive. The Utah bench outplayed the Portland bench is the reason for this blowout and everyone is ready to crown Gobert as a taller version of Bill Russel.

You're 100% right. The Bench was the reason they blew the doors off Portland. And you're right about the real PM. I don't know what to tell you other than Enes Kanter will never have 5 blocks and 2 dimes in the same game in his entire NBA career

He has had two games in which he has gotten 4 blocks and 2 assists but your point still stands.

It wasn't just Gobert. Booker did awesome job on him for extended stretches... Great team effort in defense. Good ball movement and unselfishness in O. I am really happy with this performance... In nights like this I feel like we are really close... I hope we start having more of them.

Agreed. I actually was thinking during the game, "OKC would have been better off trading for Booker"

More quotes:

For not having a great record, the Jazz play good defense and always play hard. Good coaching.

When Utah grows up they're gonna start punking us Grizzlies style

Thank god Utah aint making the playoffs and we only see them one more time.

This is gonna be a damn good team in 2 years. Give credit to them, for sure.

Gobert is Mutombo-esque.

So, is there a Gobert-esque guy out there that will be available around our draft choice?

Gobert is the real deal. I don't ever expect him to score a lot. But the fear he puts into the other team is enough for me as a fan. It's crazy. I have never seen anyone stop Aldridge like he has the last 2 games against Portland.

Another nice win over a playoff team.

But we all know it's only one game.

Booker deserves a TON of credit for shutting down LA when Gobert went out. And give Snyder the game ball. He was switching up the defense, having guys front LA and sending over help behind. Portland had no clue what was coming. Sure, Lopez and Kaman burned them a couple of times. But I just saw great switching and amazing defensive energy from everyone on the team. Even Ian Clark played an intense 1 1/2 minutes!

Gobert was so pumped he even cussed out Hayward on that one pass. Get it up there, Gordon, Rudy is 7'0" tall. Don't hit him in the shins!

Ummm, and I may have been wrong about needing to upgrade Booker as the backup PF. He was great!

Looks like an awesome game, will watch it when I come off shift- Kanters 14 or so points will come from Booker and potentially favors both of them can play their natural positions, maybe bring in Pleiss or sign cooley to get 5-10mins at C.

In some other thread I predicted that Trey Burke would put up 20 shots. 9-20 for 19 points. Pretty good game for Trey. . .
