2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Oof someone gonna really have to talk me into Risacher if this is the case.
So this draft is kinda unique in that there aren't guys I'm in love with but there also aren't guys I hate. Like I don't hate Clingan but I wouldn't be super excited about taking that direction. With most of these guys if you squint you can see it. So that's good right?... Right?!?!?!

Risacher is a big wing with some athleticism that looks like he can shoot (indicators are a little mixed but I think its fair to think he will be a plus shooter). Whoever the #1 pick is is likely to disappoint based on the history of #1 picks but i don't see a lot of guys that I think are super busts.

Still haven't seen he and Buzelis together

Dalton is old AF. We actually went to HS together that's how old he is.

Still like him but may have him more in the 10-12 range.

The advantage of drafting Dalton is that he is more of a finished player and you won't have to send him to the g league for half the season.

I'm a strong believer in Knecht's shooting and think he's a good athlete, but I'm not sure the shot creation will be super effective in the NBA and he does not defend. I think he's more like THJ than he is a player like Bogdan.

I didn't have much time, but found this article which basically shows that there is a big drop off with guys drafted over 21 years old. There are always exceptions, and Dalton has a decent case to be an exception, but I think you have to consider his age a huge risk.

Worked out for Derrick White. The exceptions seem to be guys who weren't on the radar so they never had a chance to really be put in a position to come out early

If you are trying to argue that Miller was an older Freshman, then I'm not sure how it's relevant to Knecht as a prospect.
I’m saying Miller is old for his prospect age and he’s killing it. I think we tend to overthink these things sometimes. Jacquez Jr would go in the top-10 in a re-draft.
