Reed Sheppard is my guy in this draft. A rare talent. If Danny & Zanik tried to get him by moving up to the 3rd slot, they would need to make a super bold offer to pull it off. At #10, I would pick Williams or Carter. If the Jazz use #29 and #32 to move up, I would select Tyler Kolek or Dillion...
Yeah, drafts are tough cookies. 30% of the No. 5 picks, 33.3% of the No. 9 picks, and 26.7% of the No.10 picks have become All-Stars between 1989-2019.
Dilly’s got great moves but has nothing to give defensively. When I watched Garland defend against Banchero in the playoffs, Garland looked like a fly defending against a bull. It was comical.
Agree. Carter won't grow into Smart or Holiday. He's good all-around player though, but I always tend to stay away from draft prospects who look good against younger players.
Yeah, I can see the Jazz offer, in some combination, Sexton, Kessler, and their current picks if they tried to move up. If they did this (to move up from 10), my guess is they would target Sheppard or Castle.
Well I just go by the history, but of course you could be right. Let's mark it down and check it after say 8 years. Maybe Edey becomes a Monster and Cy takes the win.
Yeah, I've been thinking of Collier, too, and Topic as well although less. It's damn hard to predict. And then there is a player who emerges completely out of the blue.
I don't think this draft is any different. For many players it takes several years after they're drafted before we know if they are AS-worthy. Older players drop out too.
Based on history, this draft will produce at least 2 or 3 All-Stars. Who among the kids this year has the best likelihood to become an All-Star? For me it’s Reed Sheppard. He is the only one in the draft who has numbers to back him up to be a special player down the road. If I’m Danny, I’ll be...
Personally, I find this Jazz offseason interesting. We’re sailing in uncharted waters – almost feels like anything can happen, or not much at all when all is said and done. I fear a bit though that now that Danny’s “big game hunting” has become a catch phrase everywhere, Danny might “force” a...
What about Lonzo with LaVine and flipping LaVine to the Lakers in a 3-team trade or something. I believe Lonzo has one year left in his contract. I’m a Lonzo guy and would love this if he can stay healthy.
Who’s gonna move the ball when LaVine and Sexton take turns at iso? Boston just showed us what great ball-movment and 3-point shooting can do. And what about defense? LaVine and Sexton can’t defend perimeter. At least one of the starting guards has to be a good defender for us to become a...
What are the Bull's gonna do with Lonzo? He has said he's good to play in the opener, so I thought they would keep him. But who knows? He's 26, turning 27 in October.
